formatting issues & future changes
quick heads-up—patreon keeps absolutely wrecking my formatting, especially for longer chapters. i’ve been trying to work around it, but it’s getting ridiculous. spacing gets nuked, italics vanish, entire chapter is bolded and sometimes things are a giant wall of text no matter what i do, random indent chaos, etc —it’s killing the pacing and flow of my posts.
i’m looking into alternative solutions right now. might take a little work, but i want to start taking my writing more seriously, and that means creating a cleaner, more professional reading experience—for all of you.
i’ll post nerd in the north chapter 4-15 later today, and if i find a solid fix, you might be getting a bigger announcement too.
stay tuned.

Post a doc instead of making it a post.
Try writing in Word, Google or some other processor and uploading or linking that file. Patreon was never meant for long form literary content and it shows with their UI.
In my experience, this type of issue is usually caused by the original format of the text you’re copying from, like Word or Google Docs, being incompatible with the page where you’re trying to paste it. A tedious solution—which I’m not sure you’d be willing to try, and I don’t know if it will work—is to use "Ctrl + Shift + V" to paste the text as plain, unformatted text. Then, manually reapply the formatting, like italics and spacing, directly on Patreon before publishing it.
Yup, smart paste copies format of what you are pasting into.
Use a google doc, you keep the formatting on there and i have seen several authors use that method on here
Is there no way to report the issue to the site managers? If you’re paying for the service (I mean, I know we are paying you, but I’m not sure if you’re paying anything to the site) -then it is in their interest to ensure things running smoothly as possible, no?
Yeah, they automatically take their cut
Have you considered just dumping pdfs to maintain your formatting?
People having to download pdfs means i don't get to see organic comments as that likely will drop off. plus, it used to work fine
