importante: Gofundme politics & refunds

I've now seen this too many times for it to be random: somebody is shutting down Gofundmes that help Palestinians – even if the Palestinians aren't the direct recipients of the cash, because, as I have only recently learned, Gofundme will not let you run a campaign that goes directly to a bank account in Palestine. I would guess GFM is handing over all their data to some Israel-friendly entity, maybe the IDF or Mossad itself (and that's another thing I've had to learn: they are here, brother, and they are listening, much more closely than you'd suspect), and pro-Palestinian campaigns are getting Notices of Cancelation for nebulous Policy Violations that are never described or defended. You don't hear back from GFM; they just shut you down and then go silent.

This is important right now as regards our brother Amjad – luckily, he was able to get most of the cash transferred out of Gofundme before his account was nuked, but the cancelation means automatic donor refunds, and those are taken from the proxy bank account running the GFM. To wit: the person doing the bank/transfer side of Amjad's fundraiser is about to get fucked for about $8,000.

Here's where you come in – Amjad tells me that most of the donations came in when I started listing him on the show. If you donated to his GFM, you're about to get a "refund notice," sometime in the next 48-72 hours (if you haven't already). When you've got that refund back in your account, PLEASE, go to Amjad's new fundraiser on Chuffed and re-donate it.

This will prevent the proxy accountholder from getting ripped off, for political reasons which are almost certainly illegal (but which, Israel correctly guesses, none of us has the time or money or procedural knowledge to fight at the moment), and it'll also make up for whatever the difference was between the total $ and the amount Amjad had received.

Amjad is a remarkable man doing incredible things for everyone near him, and he reminds me all the time to thank you, and to carry the message that "your friends have beautiiful hearts."

So, simple mode:

1) Gofundme shut down as bullshit political persecution

2) All you Gofundme donors will soon receive a refund

3) When you get that refund, please re-donate it here

to keep Amjad, all the people he's helping, AND his banking proxy from getting robbed for being Palestinian or wanting to help Palestine.

Sorry about the hassle, but these motherfuckers just will not a let a Palestinian have anything. Nothing good can happen there without 3 quick and public punishments for the sin of being born.
