finally carved out time to read this book, what a delight. appreciated the short chapters, each unfolding a new Crews experience. also made me think about what a difficult life the good ol days were. thanks for suggestion! I enjoyed reading Crews's A Childhood
I am happy to see Crews' work getting picked up by Penguin. When you started reviewing him, I found many of his books were very hard to find . . . and so I've always wanted to read him, but never read him. Such a great review. You've dug up so many gems over the years - and you never seem to fail at it.
Sounds fascinating - I just bought it, as I did "The Shards."
Man, you can feel that this one hit hard. Take care 🖤
I really appreciate it, thank you. Take care as well.
This might be one of your best Sir Sergeant! Thank you so much for everything.
