Better Than Friday - 173
Good evening everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all.
Colder than it's been here in something like 30 years.
Last 40 pages of Crime and Punishment.
Svidrigailov just went to America.
1. Currently listening to - The Sinner and the Saint by Kevin Birmingham
Fantastic book on Dostoevsky's influences in the writing of Crime and Punishment. Listening to the audiobook (not something I'd normally do but for non-fiction and books of this nature, absolutely).
2. The Memoirs of Lacenaire, the French Poet/Serial Killer who inspired Crime and Punishment
I can't find it anywhere for sale - Only here.
Cooler than cool.
2:00 when Vega just chucks the mic in the crowd
A terrifically underrated crime comedy and Christmas film.
Robert Downey Jr. nails it.
Can't go wrong with The Cult

Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays to you too!
This live version of Spiritwalker tops the studio version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzJeDALKtms And this live version of Moya is better than both: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoYd08OPvA8 Merry Christmas. I'm listening to Bowie today - the 2010 remaster of Ziggy Stardust the Motion Picture is mind-blowingly good. So much better than the 1983 version, which I still have on vinyl. It's like the difference between being punched in the face by Screech and being punched in the face by Mike Tyson. Highly recommended.
Merry Christmas! Will check it all out. Thanks very much. Holy shit. I've seen few bands as tight as those two live Cult performances...That concert was a serious moment.
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Just finished The Passenger. Wow.
