I started with Serotonin shortly after it came out in English then binged Atomised and Whatever straight after, I was going to keep going but decided to pace myself... This collection sounds great, I've just picked up a copy for my holiday reading this weekend. Thanks
What a weirdo. Absolutely love the man. I discovered Houellebecq through watching your channel and have read two so far (Serotonin and The Elementary Particles). Of all the books I’ve read this year, those two have been most enjoyable. Sometimes the brutal and heartbreaking moments I find relatable and comforting, other times I’m disgusted by the character or laughing at the absurdity of their situation or yelling at the character to not do the dumb thing I think he’s about to do…or learning about the struggles of farming, government, and the world market. Always something I never expect. And the end of elementary particles, damn, really made me wonder what the future has in store for the human species… Also Dead Man…I agree. I feel like the initial train ride sets the story…deeper and deeper into the unknown, only forward
Only book by this author that I have read is serotonin and now I want to read more by him
