How serendipitous! I’ve just finished the last volume of Marías’s novel in three volumes called Your Face Tomorrow 25 minutes ago. (That’s something you can look forward to. It is probably the culmination of what he’d been building towards.) I’m glad that you loved A Heart So White as it is one of my favorite books of all time. I can say, without a doubt, that it is a book that is watertight in its perfection — solid to the core. I also share your impressions of him particularly him being not of this time, he possesses an elegance of the ages past. Any way, once again, bravo, Cliff. You made the perfect closing to my evening (it’s night in Australia).
