Better Than Friday - 332

Happy Friday the 13th everyone!

Just finished shooting the final segment of the Sexual Personae series. It's already being edited and will be up soon.

Have a great weekend and thank you so much for your continued support.

1. Book to be read: Sunflower by Gyula Krúdy (Paid Link)
Disclaimer: NYRB sends me free books for review
A surreal Hungarian novel from the early 20th century about a young woman who has an otherworldly adventure. Based on the description, Krúdy sounds right up my alley. Sounds chaotic and beautiful.

2. A rare Yukio Mishima Interview from 1966
Wherein he begins by speaking from his bed, in French, about his physical exhibitionism.

3. The most subdued and powerful Iggy Pop performance I have seen

Dum Dum Boys. One of his best. Found this one via friend and patron Bryan.

4. The Origin of Friday the 13th and the story of the demise of the Knights Templar
Wild that the curse of Jacques Demolay worked, ain't it?

5. Dsablu
This was an event for my wife and I.
We recently went to see Eyehategod in Gainesville. Dsablu were the opening act.
This instagram post sums it up perfectly, and mirrors our experience.
The lead singer is the embodiment of punk rock.
Highly recommend you see them if they come through your town.
