Better Than Friday - 331
Gooood evening everyone hope you're having a nice Friday evening.
Finished Sexual Personae - Incredible. Neck deep in writing the review for the last installment, coming soon.
Reading anything good?
Have a great weekend and thank you so much for your continued support.
Book to Read: Wieland by Charles Brockden Brown (Paid Link)
Charles Brockden Brown was the earliest professional American novelist and the first to write a novel with gothic elements. I'm surprised I'd never heard of him until recently.
Anybody read this one? How'd you like it?Christopher Lee on the Occult
Reminded me about being asked about the occult in the last AMA. I posted the more recently filmed clip edited in with this one a while back, but I hadn't seen the older one. As the description box informs us, Christopher Lee was a descendent of Charlemagne. Can't recall if I'd heard that before, but that is wild."Alfred Hitchcock Presents" Intros
The driest gallows humor.
"a trifle excited" haha
Inspired by this post from @over.indexBunji Kasai - the 77 Year Old Japanese Techno DJ
Took me a minute to realize it's a mockumentary - I wish it was real.
Totally could be - For example this 68 year old bloke is killin' it.Tom Waits - The Earth Died Screaming
Incredible live version in Firenze here too. I wonder if that's Marc Ribot on guitar.
Don't get hooked

Did you finish that book ?
Which book?
Your link to these 2 Techno guys is awesome, Cliff! Couldn't believe it when seeing them. How cool can you be?! I wish I'll have their drive when I am that age.
Thanks very much Darius - Same here! I aspire to it.
I finished Blood Meridian also what a ride that was! I am now reading Tale of two cities by Charles Dickens then Richard III from Shakespeare.
I’ve had trouble connecting with anything else after reading it. Awestruck I guess
I'm on a bit of a re-read binge for February at the moment; just finished H is for Hawk and before that A Month in the Country by J L Carr, one of my favourite novels. And finally, just started re-reading Lord of the Flies, just in time for a new four-part television adaptation showing on the BBC this weekend. Nothing says a cosy Sunday night's viewing than a bunch of english schoolboys quickly turning feral on a desert island. Lol.
Ha! Man, I haven't read that one since grade school. Sticks with you. I haven't heard of those other ones, I'll look into them, thanks for mentioning.
Finished “blood meridian” … sheesh.
Congratulations! One of the best.
