Better Than Food - 318

Happy Halloween everyone!

Shockingly cold day here in Florida - 58f! Didn't know it could get that cold here. I get to wear a jacket. That's a reason to celebrate in and of itself.

Hope you're enjoying yourselves this evening. Thanks so much for helping me keep this project alive!

1. Eerie Short Story Coming Up Next: The White People by Arthur Machen (Paid Link)

A gift from friend and patron Brien Dwane - Thanks a bunch man!
This is a perfect folk-horror Halloween story from a highly regarded horror author.
   Cryptic and intellectually challenging.

2. Filter - Hey Man Nice Shot. With 90's fashion models.
Grew up hearing this track. Recently heard it for the first time in quite a while.
Impressed how it holds up - Excellent performance.

3. The Origin of the Jack-O-Lantern
The story of Stingy Jack, forced to wander the earth as he was banned from Heaven for being a sinner, and banned from Hell for pissing off Satan.

"Then since Jack is unfit for heaven,
And hell won't give him room,

His ghost is forced to walk the earth,

   Until the day of doom:

A lantern in his hand he bears,

   The way by night to show;

And, from its flame, he's got the name

   Of Jack O'Lantern now."
