Better Than Friday - 316
Good evening friends!
Editing the Dracula review - coming soon.
Wishing you a nice weekend, hope you're reading something appropriately eerie - and if it's good, please tell us about it.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
A Gothic Novel Recommended by friend and patron Chris: Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (Paid Link)
The story of a deceased wife whose presence remains...
I'm told it's excellent.
The Soundtrack to Coppola's Dracula
A nice accompaniment to the season. Wojciech Kilar nailed that intro track.
He also did the score for the The Ninth Gate, which was as good if not better.
Interview With The Vampire directed by Neil Jordan
Reflecting on it now, this is one of the best films of the 90s.
Clip from the only interview with Welsh Horror author Arthur Machen
Lovecraft was a huge fan of Machen. I've been meaning to read him for some time.
What an interesting perspective on creating art from imagination vs. real life.
A strong point.
Of the people, by the people for the people but…
Osho (guru/cult leader) telling it like it is.
This clip never gets old.
They're getting fancy with the Halloween decorations around here.

When I visited there last year (Florida, New York, and other states), I really enjoyed walking inside the stores and seeing the different decorations. The houses, too. Something I always liked about the U.S. is how broadly Halloween is commemorated. Killer decorations, right? And the nature in colder regions also really ties everything together. The colours narrate the season so well.
Nice - Yes! One of the perks of the states.
