Have you ever read much Ralph Waldo Emerson? It sounds off topic but I think it is. Very inspirational and I find him very similar to Nietzche who actually referred to him as "such a fantastically great being, rich in soul and spirit." Can be tough to read, especially in a whole volume but maybe some of his essays here and there like Self-Reliance or Nature would be good to dip your toes in.
Nietzsche was an Emerson fan? Damn! There I go writing things off too quickly again! Now I've GOT to read him.
Aaaah that was amazing. So good to hear about the ketogenic diet doing the rounds like this. Lost a lot of weight from it way back and getting back into it now for the same reasons as this here. Must say, as a filmmaker, it's hard to balance watching films everyday and reading. I guess half the point is that it's not meant to be easy though. Thanks so much of this. Much appreciated.
You're welcome, and I TOTALLY feel your pain - I have to break up films in segments to finish books. Its a very sad thing.
