Really nice to see Boggy in his natural habitat. Zudrick’s “followed that guy for a year” was so funny. I hope we get to see the fjords sometime. The “rather than following crowns, you are often following swords” is poignant. The thesaurus was so funny. Also, ending of the episode, just goosebumps all over. Bang up job all around, really been enjoying this stretch of Skaldova.

I really appreciate how Jake lets the characters and their interactions flow so interrupted. That, along with his cinematic descriptions makes this feel almost more like a radio play to me, like a prepared piece of theatre. I really love it!

My roommates know Skaldova by name now and are no longer confused when I shout Skaldova! excitedly on Thursday when the ep drops. They don’t exactly get it but they’re used to it by now. This skaldova feels so perfect for fall and I’ve been looking forward to season two ever since the first, and it’s been so delightful.

I sometimes re-listen to old eps and you are absolutely right. I’m 57 and have been listening since day 1. NADDPOD helped me and my son survive his teenage years and we’ve seen them live a bunch of times. I feel like they are all my kids and I’m just so proud and amazed to witness their growth as story tellers and as people. Caldwell’s kids, Jake’s kid, Emily and Murph’s cats…getting through Covid, dealing with the shit of real life. They have created worlds and characters that are rich and diverse and just goddamned hilarious. Have a great day!
