It's wild, I read this book when I was really young and remember getting the same exact ending and remember being so horrified at the idea of being put in a bag and made into soup. And the Crew gets this same exact ending.

Absolutely loved this. You definitely need to have SungWon back on the show he's fantastic. This also made me think of a surprise round question: You go to a fancy restaurant. Your dinner is nice and the evening is carrying on as planned. Eventually you have to go to the restroom. In the restroom is a bathroom attendant you don't pay attention to as you go to the stall. In the stall however you receive an emergency phone call from your father. However when you answer it just turns out he wanted to know your opinion on the most recent transformers movie. You get into an argument because who the hell does an emergency call for that, when your phone dies halfway through. You finish up and go to exit but while you are washing your hands you notice the bathroom attendant is staring at you, you turn to look and realize it's Doug Bowser, former CEO of Nintendo. He rushes up to you and exclaims "It's you! You are who I've been looking for!" He explains that he wants you to be the new voice of Mario as Chris Pratt just isn't cutting it, and this will be his way to get back his job as CEO of Nintendo. What do you do?

This made me start a little relisten of my favourite OG 8-bit book club eps, and I was delighted to discover that Emily already had the same opinion of Roy Coopa in 2016 in the read/playthrough of Leaping Lizards: he's hot! 10 year consistency queen, Roy is still hot. I then fell asleep, forgetting to turn off the podcast on spotify, and woke up groggy at 6 am to Caldwell's description of the eagle in Angry Birds pissing in the lake.

I had to relisten to SungWon saying “Fuck” as Mario like 5 times I was laughing so much

Oh wow I sent this to their PO Box!! I’m sure probably many others too lol, who knows. My daughter really loved reading our own copy together and I let her choose the adventure and at first all she would do is walk Luigi to his doom no matter how many times we read it.
