Re: Murph’s return to CDs. I was at target the other day, there was a rack of “mini vinyls”… they are CDs! How are those not just CDs!? no joke we went back to vinyls and reinvented the CD in less than 20 years. Maybe Murph can play mini vinyls in the car next.
Oh! And they are worse! Worse than the original CD! They only hold one or two songs and they still cost $15 lol

We finally had to upgrade our car last year when my daughter was born because our 30 year old Nissan didn't have reliable airbags but I miss that car every day. It still had a tape player and wind down windows and it was magnificent. We upgraded to a 2013 Toyota and for the first few weeks it felt like I was driving a spaceship with a cd player

Idk if anybody has said this in here yet, but hey, Jake, you can turn off that auto brake and horn on your car for when you back up. It's in your vehicle settings on your car. I do Autobody work and people ask for it to be shut off all the time! Hope that helps!

And this isn't even the first transgression recently, we've had another apology just a few weeks ago. I dunno, maybe I am a bit dramatic but does he have a place on the pod if this sort of thing keeps up? Maybe they could just focus on the trio of Murph, Emily and Jake. Might give them a chance to finally get Jake on 8Bit Book Club too.

Cars are definitely waaayyyy better than they’ve ever been. Wayyyy more efficient and safe! Sure they might be made of plastic and aluminum and crumple into a ball when you get in a collision but at least your spine doesn’t fly our of your mouth because the car is made out of steel and is rigid as a boulder. The only real complaint is that modern cars basically have a full computer under the hood and the right to self-repair of it all has become quite shitty compared to the old buckets of bolts any shmo with a wrench could tinker with and I will fully admit I miss the physical media players and older less complicated features. (My Tacoma is in a sweet spot of having some great modern features without going overboard) The reason Jake’s old Tacoma is still running is because it’s a TOYOTA and besides some rust issues in some release years, Japanese cars JUST. KEEP. GOING.

Maleficent is thematically very similar to Zeus, who was the god of a concept called “Xenia” which is essentially hospitality. Tantalus and Lycaeus were punished by Zeus for their mistreatment of guests, not simply because their guests happened to be gods. For a King to specifically not invite a dignitary is a HUGE snub, Maleficent was being petty in visiting punishment on aurora instead of the king but the king not inviting her would be just one step short of not inviting your partner’s mother to the wedding
