In 2015 I was given tickets to see Goo Goo Dolls (Top Billing) and Matchbox 20 with a meet and greet for Goo Goo Dolls. Jonny Rezeznik couldn't have been more uninterested in what was going on not the Bassist was super engaged. Fat forward to the concert and the Dolls opened and Reznik phoned everything in. Matchbox 20 comes out and they perform and Rob sings like they are playing for a stadium of 50,000 ppl in what was effectively a glorified college gym. They played the hits but would also go on riffs and jam the fuck out.

Minor PSA: John Rzeznik prefers John to Johnny now. Also (at least in American media), the pronunciation of his last name is simplified to "Reznik." The actual Polish pronunciation of that initial "Rz" is kind of a "zh" sound, like the "s" sound in "collision."
