the care put into each panel here really makes time slow down. the fact that we don’t read her inner thoughts makes tessa’s interiority even more interesting, i feel. saiya has her neurotic monologues but tessa suffers silently. that adds to the feeling of her being a shy person trapped behind her persona. reaching out but not knowing how. love that last panel with its subjective space distortion.
