Maybe Stacy is secretly trying to plump up her up by having her rebound into gaining after losing some weight. Maybe the same technique is being used on Tessa too.

My guess is that Stacy wants to stuff Aika even more, so that Tessa wont be able to compete anymore, and so Saiya will stick with Aika. Tessa will resign to gain weight and Stacy can use her finally again for her plans...
