Happy new year to everyone! I'm gonna post more new year things soon, I unfortunately got sick for a week so that got kinda delayed. But I'm back now and ready to work hard!

So Tessa was manipulated, used, and forced into the person she is, behavior and all. Makes sense why she is so needy and controlling, she was basically turned into this. Doesn't excuse her past actions with Saiya and Aika, but I can atleast understand how it came to be. Glad to see some actual progress for her character.
"Thought you'd be spending time with your girlfriend" in a sarcastic manner only to egg Saiya on into cheating again was a particulary vile thing to do. As was the time when she forced herself on Saiya mere seconds after Aika messaged Saiya to check up on her. She went along with the TessaKitz persona pretty easily, even if she might've felt that went against her own personality. Not all of her actions and behavior can be explained away by Stacy, sounds way too easy. And i don't think that's the intent either. All i need to see from her now is to recognize her own fuckups and do something with it, that would be the kind of progress that shows good intent from her for a change. As for Stacy, despite her recent empathy, stuff like this is why i'm still wary about her and some people are way too quick to just pair her with Aika and expect it's an improvement for her.

I'm really enjoying Tessa's story. She's my favorite character, by far. I like that all of the characters have some, dimension, some rough edges, though I feel Tessa is probably the most sympathetic among them. She's lonely, needful, and easily manipulated to be what others want her to be, which is tragic, but compelling. Her indecision and lack of comfort in her own skin has created a lot of tension, and my hope is that she is able to determine what she wants, how she wants to be, and be more assertive in pursuing it. Selfishly, my hope is that this leads to her finding a healthier, more honest dynamic with Saiya, and this somehow translates to her miraculously beating Aika in their next eating contest, sort of a "I'm secure with myself and my relationship, and now I'm eating for my own joy and the joy of the one I love, rather than desperately flailing/competing out of fear of losing an unrequited love, and somehow that makes me stronger/better at stuffing my face" lol.
Same! I feel like she cares about Saiya for being Saiya way more too. It's rubbed me the wrong way for a long time that Aika wasn't interested in Saiya until she slimmed down and had a makeover. Meanwhile Tessa has never minded what form Saiya takes. It feels like there's the potential for a much healthier relationship than the one she had with Aika

After what happened to Tessa, she just never bothered to shut things down officially or settle the business end of things with her. Pretty much looked like she stopped caring and just wanted it burned to the ground. Never talked to Tessa since. Just left it. Yet she's still leeching whatever remaining income that still flows in despite her recent character growth...
