Saiya actually has a point, indirectly. It is better if Aika avoids her... and Tessa.... and basically everyone really.
I can live with Saiya ending up by herself if she persists like this. I'd rather not see her getting rewarded for her actions by getting someone (Fani) who fulfills every desire on every whim while leaving others to deal with the emotional misery she left them with.
Love reading the discussion going on here guys! This kind of thing is what keeps me going during tough times thank you so much for engaging 🙏
I'm glad it does, but then you'll probably don't mind this; i'm still confused on how we're supposed to interpret Saiya as a character. On one hand you seem to agree that Saiya is a terrible person who'se only option to a better life is commitment, which is backed up by Stacy's words that her actions are ridiculous (which Saiya flatout ignores) but also on the other that Saiya has done enough and this isn't just her fault and she's better off giving up? For the last 600 pages the focus has been on Saiya, Aika and Tessa as a love triangle which she spent ping-ponging between and learning nothing. And then in 20 pages, her childhood friend (even though Aika was suggested to be) swoops in, throws that entire dynamic on it's head and offers Saiya a convenient, rewarding off-ramp (i really hope not) so that she doesn't have to pay attention anymore to her closest (girl)friend and the person who'se career she helped partially destroy. I'm probably being premature, but thats how it looks like right now. Maybe we disagree here, but Saiya hasn't done nearly enough to justify convincing herself that what she did was enough. When did she ever thought about saying no and pushing the person away forcing herself on her and setting her boundaries, or just not following the person she knows will prey on her weaknesses? It just seems too easy to me. It doesn't help for the sake of fan-service, but storywise and building character it does. Maybe i'm approaching this the wrong way, but usually these stories show some character progression for a main character. But this seems like a slow burn to a bad ending that subverts expectations. I'm not going to drag this out, but i'm just wondering what your point of view is without ofcourse sharing any spoilerish/crucial details that you cant as a creator.
Man I Hate Saiya so much, Now Kip, how are you gonna somehow make me like her
Feeling feelings is good!
I really want to see the Karmic Retribution being her ballooning out.
I think what makes this so entirely pointless is that if Saiya doubts herself, by her own logic then she shouldn't be in a relationship with *anyone*. If she is, she'll just make the same mistakes. It means she'll cheat on anyone, anytime... But you don't see her say that, how convenient. Leaving Aika for Fani just means she's shifting her lack of willpower and lust onto someone else. It's the easy and quick way out because she doesn't want to change for the better. It's a cycle only she can stop. But she's running away instead.
There's a big problem I have with that logic, though; it's honestly not just on her to stop - not anymore at least. Tessa and Aika are both part of it - the former actively encouraged it because of her seeming shame/humiliation-play kink, and the latter didn't put her foot down half as hard as she should have known to (and even when she did blow up, she didn't do it in a way that helped anything between not coming down hard on all parties and dragging someone else into it). And before you reply, I do wanna make one thing clear; I don't disagree with the notion that Saiya won't ever have a functional relationship at this rate if nothing changes, or that things with Fani wouldn't fall apart for the same reasons. All I'm saying is that I think it's easy to understand why she doesn't think anything will change, 'cause at this point she's got ample reason to think her impulse-control is just too poor to result in anything other than Aika (and Tessa) getting hurt again. Especially if neither Tessa or Aika can get ahold of their own self-control issues that they've developed, since those have only either helped enable Saiya or at best failed to develop things in such a way as to push her out of where she is now. Short version: even putting aside whether Saiya's choices being for better or for worse, I feel like it's not her being a "coward" so much as realizing there is no simple, convenient way to make it better - and just isn't even sure whether she deserves to try at this point ( which, again, is something I feel like a lot of people had said she didn't before now ^_^; ) due to how it's cost Aika and Tessa way more than it ever cost her. Way I see it, saying "she doesn't want to change for the better" is the *complete opposite* of what the problem is - it's more that she's lost hope that she *can* (because of how she kept failing every attempt as doing so up to now). And in turn, I think the's answer's not to single her out as a "coward" for acknowledging her presence has had a negative affect on the people she got into a relationship with, as if they didn't have their own vices that contributed to shit giving down how it did - I think the answer to actually fixing it would be to find a way to prove she can in fact find a way do better without fucking it up, and that everyone else is in the same boat with her to do so.
Wow, She really has to focus in the positive voices of her mind. Like that K-pop Demon Hunters movie hehe. (Is hard for me tho)

i.e. “wow, you are literally the worst”
honestly i'm just tired at this point LOL
How Saiya's handling this sucks, yeah, but tbf Aika has always rubbed me the wrong way. She only started showing interest once Saiya changed herself into a skinny popular girl, which comes off so hypocritical. Saiya shouldn't have cheated and shouldn't have even gotten into the relationship in the first place, but I also don't think they're good for each other. Saiya should be with Tessa, Aika should be with Stacy, Fani should go home. All problems solved 😂
Tessa was actively out to destroy a relationship, Aika was trying to protect that. If you put Aika's actions next to Tessa's then Aika has done little wrong here, but trying to make sure Saiya respects a relationship that *she* started. If anyone rubbed me the wrong way it was Tessa, until Saiya took over that role. She did everything at every turn to manipulate and prey on Saiya's lack of willpower and lust. It was her who "helped" Saiya into being who she is now. And if we're going that route, you can easily say that Saiya just so happened not to know about Tessa's public persona and therefore didn't treat her like the rest, which could've been anyone. That was the sole reason she took a shine to her, an obsession that lasted until she realized that Saiya saw her nothing more as a plaything, which she by the way encouraged. As for Aika, physical attraction can lead to a relationship. Smallest reasons can lead to that, they can evolve to something more. The difference is that Aika knows how a proper relationship works and the rest doesn't. If Aika didn't love Saiya she wouldn't have given her these chances despite being hurt. Tessa did everything against better judgment. She knew whatever she felt or tried, Saiya didn't reciprocate. But her situation got steadily worse. What Saiya & Tessa have was never the basis for anything. They made everything worse for eachother despite being aware of it and still blamed eachother. It was completely toxic. Aika & Stacy barely interacted with eachother and the few scenes they have they treated eachother with disdain, Stacy still insults her behind her back. And Fani might just aswell have very bad intentions of her own. Who belongs with who is not all that clearcut/obvious you make it out to be. But atleast Saiya & Aika's relationship had the best chance of working because at their very best, they treated/interacted with eachother like girlfriends would. I can't say that for the others. The reason Tessa fell in "love" with Saiya was "because she treats her like trash, like a nobody". Literally her own words. That's more relating to her fetish than what i'd call actual love, and that never changed.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
Well as the saying goes "one must be at their lowest in order to get back up again." It'll take a bit but I have faith that saiya will bounce back and make amends to everyone even if she does it in a roundabout way she's trying but man its gonna suck to watch.
Sorry Stacy, Hippopotamus feeding duties fall to you from now on
Idk any more...
Stacy is speaking for the the majority ngl
Saiya like actually.....come on. You are passing on the most free lay up rn💀. Aika is literally giving you the chance to do better AGAIN for the millionth time and you pretty much say "nah I'm chill". Obviously that's not the right thing to be doing. Stacy is growing on me tho she's being a W ally to Aika in her time of need lol. I also find it strange that we didn’t see Fani at school at all. I bet on the next page she’ll be at home the moment Saiya gets back—almost like she’s someone only Saiya can see/be around🤔
Tbh, I kinda see Saiya's point, she's done nothing but hurt Aika lately
Gets told her crush/love interest is willing to forgive her, blatantly says nah, I prefer my imaginary friend.
I mean... can you honestly look at the impact she's had on Aika's life (and Tessa's) and say Sayia has no reason to wanna give Aika an out? Heck, I kinda thought this was what people wanted, TBH; for Sayia to be the one to think that maybe it's better to just admit it's not working than to keep fucking up someone's life with her lack of self-control ^_^;
Stacy is literally most of the comments, also Saiya's feathers are looking pretty sparce since the last page
Honestly... I gotta admit I dunno what "most of the comments" are even doing anymore XD. I mean, I feel like what Saiya's doing here is what many of these same people WANTED before now (i.e., Saiya recognizing she's tended to bring people like Aika more bad luck than good and pulling back) - and now I feel like I'm seeing a number of those same people hate on her for actually owning up to the idea that she mighta fucked up one too many times to make it work. I feel like I'm not sure I know what people want anymore, honestly ^_^;
