i don't even wanna think about how aika's feeling. like, setting aside my own personal kink-based feelings on the matter: she met one person at college whom she really connected to, slowly but surely started putting on (presumably) hundreds of pounds which strained her relationship with her local church, tried to help said close friend financially through the church (which also would've helped her), friend makes out with her bc of said weight gain (which makes the church give her the boot), former-friend-now-girlfriend cheats on her and tells her about how she likes fat women prompting her to inadvertantly gain even more weight, then friend cheats on her several more times without any commitment to changing. like, i've heard of a "slow-burn" comic, but this is like a snail's pace to scorched earth.

Aika's really been done dirty in the story so far, looking back at it; She gets two-timed and cheated on atleast 4/5 times (2 of which on one day), ignored (from her pov) when Aika tries to get Saiya to just talk to her and treat her as a friend again by *shudders* training with Stacy, offers Saiya money with the church only to get thrown out, shows patience of a saintess by putting up with Saiya's BS/lack of attention because she loves and cares about her, willing to indulge in what she likes though clearly enjoying it herself... And the people who deserve it the least (Saiya, Tessa and Fani) get the most action, while Aika gets the most undeserved blows despite not having asked for or invited any of it, unlike the others. Saiya cheated, Tessa seduced against better judgment, Aika just wanted Saiya to be loyal in a relationship that Saiya started. Meanwhile everything she tried with Saiya was either cut off abruptly, devolved into talk or blocked (because Saiya was supposedly afraid of being touched) or Saiya went moping even when Aika was trying to do her a favor. Justice for Aika, damnit!
