Welcome to Something Witty’s September 2026 update!
What do you mean it’s November? Oh, I see what’s happening here. You’re stupid, wrong, and not from Vancouver. You see, thanks to Monthlight Savings Time, we’ve sprung back two months and are thus perfectly on time. You are forgiven. Let us speak no more of this.
We were able to accomplish so much in just ONE MONTH! Carrie and Spencer got married, (Cancer, (their ship name) is canon) went on their honeymoon, moved into a new apartment, Carrie’s latest VA role made its debut in episode 6 of Monkey Wrench, Chase returned as John in the latest episode of Spooky Month AND played a pivotal role in the new mascot horror video game, Giggleland, Mack shared a scene in Animal Control with Joel McHale, AND WE FINISHED THE SCRIPT FOR SAOA 21 (which means we now have to start writing Smartphone 2… 🤣😭)!!!
It was a very productive month. Felt like three. Thanks, Monthlight Savings Time!
In less heartwarming news (unless what’s warming your heart is the fathomless rage of injustice), SAOA Ep. 20 is still VERY much in YouTube Copyright Jail. It’s so thoroughly in jail, the site needs to be reprogrammed to allow us to release it, and that’s not a joke or a bit. That's very actually real. It should’ve been live by now.
Here’s the breakdown: we got a worldwide block on the episode, then disputed it as per normal. Then, as this normally goes, the dispute was rejected, and normally we’d be able to dispute that, which would turn it into a strike, which we would then fight. However, that button is greyed out and we can’t click it. This is NOT normal. We’ve been in contact with Screenwave, our MCN, to speak directly to YouTube, and at least three programmers have worked on this issue to no avail. There’s also no ETA on when it’ll be released. Probably when the entire site is reprogrammed to actually function. This issue could last anywhere from a month, a Monthlight Savings Time month, to even forever maybe… but preferably it’ll be resolved tomorrow. Please, YouTube. Get your shit together.
Love,
Da SWE Bois

so excited for episode 21!!!
In other worlds they probably put ai into thier copyright protection and now can’t remove it.
Thankfully Ep 20 is on Internet Archive.
i've been seeing a lot more issues with the YT copyright claims from a lot of creators lately :( hang in there!!
Damn. 20 already!? Smartphone 2 too? Almost makes up for taking Patrick Stewart from us, 2026.
FruBa, my beloved, you deserve more progress.
MAWWIAGE
So any thoughts on making episode 20 free to watch on here?
Firstly, poor Carrie. She's too good for Spencer. Secondly, I think YouTube might have gone evil. This stuff has been happening with a lot of different content creators for the dumbest reasons.
new apartment? does that mean SWE doesn't have a monopoly on the floor of the building y'all were in anymore?
Sadly correct... but we're all still in the same building! OUR INFLUENCE SPREADS!!!
how will this effect future releases? if ggo is possibly in the cards should we expect to watch it here rather than youtube?
GGO is definitely in the cards. Our hope is that this issue with YouTube's tech will be resolved by the time we need to release episode 21 (the start of the GGO arc).
I’m sooo excited for smartphone 2, it’s sooooo underrated.
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!
What.. WHAT.. there's going to be a 21. Omg
Oh my god congrats on getting married!!
Congratulation on marriage. Screw YouTube's copyright system. It's a broken unusable mess. SMARTPHONE XD
I never thought Smartphone 2 was going to happen, and if it were any other group working on it, I'd have some serious doubts it could live up to the first one. Looking forward to it.
WHY ARE YOU MAKING SMARTPHONE 2??? what vile rituals where preformed to make it so? Did we displease you? Why would you bring this evil back into the world? I'm very excited to watch this. I've been wanting a part 2 ever since i saw the first part on the 10th anniversary livestream.
The donation goal was met for it during the Spencer charity stream!
Can't it just be made free on here?
CARRIE AND SPENCER GOT MARRIED?! CONGRATULATIONS!! 🎉❤️ Meanwhile, somewhere in Kirito’s brain: “WHAT COMES AFTER DATING?!” “I DON’T KNOW! ALL THE DATING SIMS JUST GO TO CREDITS AT THIS POINT!” “We should get married.” “NOOOOOOOOO!!!” 🤣 Seriously though, congratulations to you both! Wishing you a wonderful marriage and a honeymoon with significantly fewer boss fights than Kirito and Asuna’s! 😂❤️
Regardless of what YT does. We all love the work yall do. Keep it up <3
You guys rock! Congratulations and hopefully the YouTube overlords grant us freedom.
"YouTube is keeping it from you" yeah not your inability to use a website that doesn't hate you
That sucks that the episode 20 can’t be released because of bureaucrat bullshit
Moreso technical issues than bureaucracy, but we appreciate the sentiment all the same! =)
OMG congratulations!!!
