Huxxi Roleplay 1.4 is now available! ๐
This update brings a major step forward for the project, making the world feel more alive, interactive and immersive. You can now enter hotel interiors, explore convenience stores, use public restrooms, interact with new facilities and enjoy a range of improvements to navigation, mod compatibility, the installer and overall gameplay.
The goal is simple: make ETS2 and ATS feel like more than driving simulators.
๐จ Hotels Are Now Fully Interactive!
Hotels are no longer just locations on the map. You can now enter their interiors and check in for a proper stay!
Check in through the hotel reception menu.
Get a room on a random floor from the first to the third.
Enjoy a private room with a balcony and outdoor seating.
Use the private bathroom, shower, bath, toilet and basins.
Do your laundry, charge your phone and sleep.
Purchase pillows, blankets, food and drinks.
Adjust your balcony view with Alt.
Your room is private, and the included facilities are available throughout your stay. Payment only happens when you select and purchase an option.
๐ Convenience Stores With Real Interiors
Fuel-station convenience stores now have interiors you can walk into!
Explore the store and browse the shelves.
See customers walking around and shopping.
Find cashiers working at the registers.
Purchase your items and pay inside the store.
Experience a more immersive stop during your journey.
Stores can have different numbers of people during each visit, making your stops feel less empty.
๐ป Public Restrooms Are Now Accessible
Public washrooms have received a major upgrade with enterable interiors!
Toilets, urinals and washbasins.
Free toilet facilities.
Paid showers in designated facilities.
More immersive stops along your journey.
Small single-toilet locations retain their usual counter menu where applicable.
๐ช Mirrors Now Reflect Your Character
Mirrors have been improved in several locations, allowing you to see your character's reflection.
This includes public restrooms, your home bathroom, hotel bathrooms and the Modern Apartment.
It's another small but important step toward making everyday interactions feel more realistic.
๐ Climb on Your Truck
Huxxi Roleplay continues expanding what you can do outside the driver's seat, including truck-climbing interactions.
Step out, explore and interact with the world in ways that go beyond traditional trucking gameplay.
๐ Updated Shopping & Inventory
The inventory and shopping logic has been refined to make item management clearer.
Food and drinks are stored in your inventory.
If you own a home, your fridge can store additional food and drinks.
Equipment is equipped immediately after purchase.
Services such as showers, toilets, laundry and phone charging take place after payment.
The updated rules help make shopping, equipment and everyday needs work together more consistently.
๐บ๏ธ Smarter Navigation & More Map Mod Support
Navigation and map compatibility have received significant improvements.
The installer can build a road network from your installed game files when supported map networks are not included.
Navigation falls back to the closest available built-in network when necessary.
The minimap now remembers its position, size and view separately for each save game.
Routes and GPS information remain visible even when TaxiConnect is idle.
Map pins only route to locations with a valid road entrance ahead.
Adding unrelated truck, sound, cargo, traffic, graphics or UI mods no longer automatically disables shop icons.
Map updates, load-order changes and game patches are also handled more intelligently, with clearer messages when regeneration is recommended.
More map compatibility, smarter navigation and fewer unnecessary interruptions.
๐ค TruckMate AI Improvements
TruckMate now offers three talk modes:
Aggressive: Frequent reminders.
Moderate: Occasional remarks and reminders, with a cooldown of a couple of minutes.
Silent: Responds only when you ask.
Choose the experience that suits your driving style.
๐ Home Fixes & Gameplay Improvements
Several issues affecting the housing system have been fixed.
Fixed falling through the A-Frame Cabin stairs.
Fixed being dropped beneath the ground when leaving a house.
Improved stability across everyday interactions.
๐งฐ A Smarter, Easier Installer
The installer has received a substantial overhaul to make setup, troubleshooting and map generation easier.
New Fixes & Help page
Switch between ETS2 and ATS.
Check your setup and identify profiles needing a new map pack.
Refresh profiles and manage game logs.
Install or repair the plugin.
Open the relevant game and mod folders.
Access around 15 common questions with one-click fixes.
Improved map generation
Clearer progress indicators and elapsed-time information.
Cancel the road-network generation step.
Skip unsupported map areas and generate the rest when necessary.
Review a map report showing icons, cities, navigation coverage and excluded areas.
The installer also reads the selected profile's mod list directly and helps move older Huxxi packs aside to avoid conflicts.
โจ๏ธ Keyboard Layout Fixes
Players using AZERTY, QWERTZ and other keyboard layouts should have a better experience.
The plugin now avoids unnecessarily switching letter-key controls and restores previous changes. The installer's tablet keyboard fix uses the same checks.
๐ ๏ธ Bug Fixes, Patches & Performance
This release also includes improvements to job handling, trailer operations, map data and performance.
Hold the Job Steps key for two seconds to skip a step.
Manually raising the landing gear cancels the coupling hold.
Delivery check-in requires you to arrive and park at the depot.
Normal job and GPS routes display on the minimap while TaxiConnect is idle.
Small game patches no longer unnecessarily trigger map-data changes.
Map changes and regeneration recommendations are communicated more clearly.
Reduced unnecessary settings and log reads.
Spread tablet image uploads across multiple frames to help reduce performance hitches.
These changes aim to deliver a smoother and more reliable experience.
๐ Multiplayer Compatibility
Update 1.4 includes multiplayer compatibility improvements. Actual compatibility can still depend on the game version, multiplayer environment and installed mods, so please report any issues you encounter.

When reporting a crash, please include your game version, map mods and load order, a fresh game.log.txt, and game.crash.txt if available.
๐ฅ How to Update to Version 1.4
Close ETS2 and ATS.
Back up your profile.
Run the latest Huxxi Roleplay installer.
Select Install plugin, then generate your map pack again.
Keep only one Huxxi map pack enabled and place it at the top of your mod list.
If you have an older Huxxi pack, remove its entry in Mod Manager after the installer moves it aside.
Important: The house files are included with the installer. Do not update the DLL alone.

I can use the gas station , but I can't shop for food or use the rest room
Your maps are maybe corrupted because you changed your load order the next update you don't need to have a map mod anymore I have changed the approach but for now you can just regenerate your maps

Hey do i need to activate .scs files in mod manager? If so how to get them from? How this work with rest anywhere mod etc? ATS ATS is only one mod I need to activate? Ets has to be 2 mods with combo map? Cheers
you dont need any other plugin, only this one, it has sleep in cabin option, walking outside mode, third person, multiplayer, trailer interaction, icons, hotels, and stuff. fuel stations, refuel on foot, character customisation, own houses, Taxi connect, and many more.

I also have a few ideas for future updates that could make the roleplay even more realistic! ๐ช More Walkable Businesses: Full grocery stores, supermarkets, restaurants, clothing stores, and even car dealerships with NPC employees and customers! ๐ Pet Ownership: Adopt dogs or cats, feed them, take them on walks, buy pet supplies, and have them roam around your house! ๐ณ Cooking System: Purchase ingredients and prepare actual meals in your kitchen instead of only eating packaged food! ๐ Vehicle Interactions: Open doors, trunks, and hoods, store groceries in your trunk, and wash your vehicle! ๐ More Home Activities: Watch TV, use computers, clean your house, and interact with furniture! ๐ฐ Realistic Bills: Electricity, water, internet, rent, and mortgages to make owning a home feel more realistic!
