Final Status update Episode 10
All right, here we go. It's time for the final status update for episode 10.
Special Announcement
Today, I'm pleased to announce a collaboration with a punk rock band named Dirty Toy Company.
Dirty Toy Company has graciously provided songs for Being a DIK, and their song "Over the Horizon" will be the title song of Being a DIK - Season 3 going forward.
With a punk rock sound, full of heavy and melodic riffs with attitude, I'm proud to shine a spotlight on them in the game and have them elevate it with their music.
On top of "Over the Horizon", you will also hear their songs "Stand and Fight" and "Burn You Down" in the game - starting Episode 10.

Beta testing
Beta testing started this week. Testers and proofreader are hard at work.
Bugs and typos are being found and fixed, and they have an extensive checklist of things to test.
It's too early to say how things are going, as they've only had their hands on the episode for a couple of days and have just scratched the surface.
Patch information
The full game .zip file (v0.10.0) will be roughly 12 GB and the patch hovers around 5 GB.
The patch will only work on v0.9.0/v0.9.1 releases - meaning that if you only have episode Interlude, you must download the full version.
If you don't know how to patch or if this will be your first Patreon release, I'd recommend downloading the full version, with episode 10, when it releases.
If you are patching, make backup copies of your game before patching. Never patch Season 1 & 2 with Season 3 files. Doing this will corrupt your game. Treat Season 3 as a separate game, and you will avoid these problems.

Regarding the release date announcement
As this was the final status update for episode 10, my next communication with you will be the release date announcement. It will be a December release, and I will be able to announce the date sometime this month, so stay tuned for it.

This was an ABSOLUTE MONSTER OF EPISODE! It took me an entire week to only do one playthrough.I enjoyed playing episode 10 and the quality of renders and especially animations is just INSANE! I really liked all the animations especially the BBQ opening animation. I'm so excited for the future animations. There were so many great scenes and a true rollercoaster of emotions. Of course I can't mention everything in a single post, but I just wanted to say you did a great job once again DPC! Happy new year
Is there any chance you will be making the full picture set from the Halloween photoshoot available to players in game? I think that would be amazeballs
Can we get an Easy difficulty for the new brawler game please?!! I really like the new way its done and overall the entire new Episode is great but goodness this new brawler is so difficult even on the easy setting that I am getting frustrated. I get that some really enjoy that grind but I much preferred the timing/ease of the old easy mode. I want to play and not turn of the mini games but I've gone thru 9 seasons feeling like a badass and now Troy keeps kicking my ass. lol
lol git gud, I’m kidding man it took me a bit to get used to it, but it’s not bad just each fight is a lot longer also and the directional keys look makes me take half a second longer to register sometimes. I recommend putting more into power to end fight faster and I think it’s speed or move for longer duration of looking at combinations.
Yeah... I have not had any issues with the game. Runs perfect on all paths.
Why are you disabling comments for the crash in episode 10? Why are you deleting comments? Why are you leaving the people who have supported this game so long in the dark?
I'm deleting comments that spoil the game for other users. I'm disabling comments on my page when I take naps as some link pirate sites to ruin my release. I'm more than happy to assist with bugs and crashes, but mods are out of my responsibility. You can always ask questions on my Discord server 24/7.
Started from the episode 1 witha fresh and new download of the game, deleted old version, still crash at the beginning of ep 10...

When could we expect the guide for this episode?
Two things that impact the release of the guide this time around is 1) Christmas, I'd like to spend some time with my family and 2) Ep10 needs several new sections to explain mini-games, on top of the big episode walkthrough section needed for all branches. I'll start working on it sometime after release, but as with everything else it's released when it's ready.

Hi, I started following you on Patreon just a few days ago, and I guess this is a good way to ask a few questions. How can I play the episode 9 that has already been released? Do I need to upgrade to a higher tier to download the game? Question number 2: Will the Season 3 be released on Steam only when it's complete?

Gonna have to wait to listen to DTC music :(...I may find that I like it right now if I listened, but I have learned I will LOVE it when I hear it in context of gameplay visuals like every other track in the game. From classical guitar/piano to the hardest rock/metal...So many memorable moments in the game and the music is a huge part of what I feel and remember in every scene.....I can't believe how many TV commercials I have seen lately using tracks that I first heard in BaDIK, and too bad for those companies using them because I can only think of Being a DIK
Thanks Doc! Not entirely related, but has anyone else here thought about how cool it would be if the story spanned multiple years at B&R and you get to experience being a maggot father to a pledge alongside Derek? Especially if your actions can influence what kind of brother they end up being? :D
I doubt story will go for that long considering core of the story (parties and choosing the girl) and in a way you've already chosen a girl early on (somewhat forced to do it) no spoilers. But that would be cool if there could be an entire college experience. MC would've to mature and his relationships would have to mature and therefore become a bit "boring" though

(I heard the song and honestly it's not the tune that i imagine listening everytime I launch the game, haha)
It can, and always could be changed in the settings ;)

No kidding. The Doc told us the ep will be big, but holy s*it ,5 GB alone for episode 10? First two seasons was around 20 GB, the third alone may surpass that. I have to think about prioritizing my porn from now on.
