Status update Episode 9
This week I worked on different tasks, including:
Finishing the remaining lewd scenes
Wrote three new scenes and made the art for them
Polished and expanded a few scenes
Wrote bios and added some characters to the Bios app
Fixed the credits section for v0.9.0
Made the "Previously on Being a DIK" section
Added ending screens and end reports
Work that remains:
Make some missing GUI for the new mini-game
Add music (A couple of scenes remains)
Add SFX (A couple of SFX remains)
Special renders/2D art (Testing remains)
Scenes Gallery (Testing remains)
Verify bug fixes from the Interlude
Playtest and polish (40%)
Phone content:
Rooster (2 clucks remain)
Stats, Bios and Vault (Testing remains)
As you can see, most of the manual work left is testing and polishing the episode.
Further insight:
4887 static renders are complete (0 in the render queue)
The number of animations for episode 9 at the moment is 303.
258 animations are completed
45 animations are in the render queue
The planned animations have been posed, and during this upcoming week, I'll try to estimate how long the render time will be for the entire animation queue.
I will try to finish all tasks in the checklist above aside from the playtest and polish task. Then I will continue to playtest and polish while the animations render. After that, beta testing and proofreading can start.
The truckload of work for episode 9 is almost dealt with. Now it's all about nailing the details.
Have a nice weekend

did we get one episode per year, or do you need more time DrPinkCake ?
I hope if we picked other girls we get a scene with Heather, if I had to guess it would be since you told her about Tommy and she make you her plus 1 👀
More superhot scene with Quinn
Have nice Sunday, doc! As always, don't forget to sleep ;)
Nailing the details is what sets your work above all the rest, DPC. I have tried a few other newer AVNs, and they still don't compete. However, I have noticed a trend that, although they are not outright copying your work, other developers are definitely being influenced by your work.
As amazing as it would be as a Christmas release, I can understand if Dr.Pink needs more time to bundle everything together. It's the quality of story and attention to detail that really sets this game apart from most. Great news to hear still.
I'm feeling just mid or end of January. For breaks for holidays also depends on how beta testing goes.
wow,cant wait for it
I cant wait to play the new episode!
Looking forward to it, I just really hope you never introduce modern day politics into BAD I'd probably cry.
Time to give Jill the high hard one and make her scream so loud that she shatters all the windows in the Mansion LOL
noo not again, we've just gotten those lol
What goes into Dr. PC's music criteria and selection? I swear, its by far the best music in any game out there! Soundcloud even has all the playlists for BAD by episode. So good!
I legit cried when I first heard "Run to You". With the context, it fitted so well it is crazy how well DPC is conveying feelings.
Let's go! Time to start up a smooth Sage path. Lol
It feels so close. I was really hoping that we would get the update on Halloween since it is the Halloween party, but I am so excited to play the next chapter.
Prophecy says fimbulwinter leads to Ragnarök...WAR IS COMING! 😳 :GiveBella:
My besy guess is that the game will come out on December.
Please change your username, sir... 🤬
I think I must be dreaming... I got to start planing my sleepless nights now.
Thanks for the update it is really exciting
Other developers may make two to three episodes to your one, but even all combined, yours still blows them out of the water. Keep up the good work! We appreciate the time and care you put into your games.
So excited!
Awsome cant wait .
@forcelord hell I wanted this episode for over a year now... I miss the characters as much as if they were actual friends with how immersive this game is and how good the dialogs are. DPC is really a true artist and in his own league as far as I'm concerned!
100%
It is coming guys. So close. Oh my! Thanks Doc, have a nice weekend.
