Status update Episode 9
This week I worked on static renders and animations. I have now posed 3253 renders for the episode, and about 180 are in the render queue.
I also posed the longest animation in the episode so far; a ~1 min 19 seconds animation consisting of 27 animations. The longest animation in the game so far has been 30 seconds. Episode 9 will breach that minute mark with three animations.
Making these long animations has felt more like working with cutscenes than standard animation work. It's new to me, and I believe this is the next level for Being a DIK in this area. I can't wait to show you everything!
I'm working on the final free roam event at the moment and I will keep pushing on with the art until I need to write some of the remaining scenes.
I have a scene coming up where I will have to pose more characters than I ever did in a scene before. I haven't counted how many characters there are for this scene yet, but probably somewhere between 50-70.
It's going to be exciting and very demanding work, and also feel like it's going super-slow at times to make a single render. But I know how similar renders in this episode already turned out great, so I know these will too, and that the work is worthwhile.

I must be honest. I love your creativity.. you honestly have the best game from what I have seen so far. I wish I had the $25 to actually play the entire game but You are a true visionary with what you are creating. Best of luck on your masterpiece. Have a great rest of your week and weekend.

I hope everything goes swiftly with the development! This past week I've been addicted to this game! I played the two seasons back to back and they were amazing! The twist at the end of ep.8 was crazy! I just HAD to become a patron once I figured out that the Interlude for S3 was out. I'm glad I did, it was really fun and different and it's fair to say that it got me even more hyped for the next release. Thank you for making such a great storyline with fantastic characters!
I agree. I did the same thing. Couple days went through season 1/2 and decided this guy deserves more contribution for this masterpiece.
Do most of you play per episode or per season?
I originally purchased through steam and played both seasons 1 & 2. From here on out, I'm going episode to episode now because the wait for an entire season would be too much for me lol..
I don't know why, but i'm thinking for some reason that each episode in this season is going to be a different holiday. not sure why, just a guess.
I mean, it works well for that if so desired. 9 = Halloween, 10 = Thanksgiving, 11 = Christmas, 12 = New Years.

I'm a newcomer to Being a DIK and I just have to say - I really like the story that the good doctor has created. In most games of this genre, other male characters are at best an annoyance and at worse restricted to antagonist status, but BaD really gets you to care about your frat buddies, your Dad, and even the last minute (so far!) twist. It's a really solid game, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
You're really crushing it with these updates. Far more frequent and detailed than anyone else I've ever subbed too.

Fi...Fi...fifty? to SEVENTY? You've inspired me to work on my own VN, and right now I struggle with scenes of three. I can't imagine how tedious posing 60 models must get at times. I can't wait to see the results of your hard work!

Dude I can't wait for episode 9 sounds like a lot of content! I hope we can import out Interlude save into the Patreon release of EP9. I really appreciated we could import our steam save into the Interlude! Your work is top tier I don't think there is a AVN better than B.A.D!
Save where the game tells you to save, at the end of the interlude, and you can click continue and play episode 9 immediately with those saves.
Cutscenes, wow. That'll be something.
Dont forget to get that rest in, weekend just got better knowing that you're working hard in the lab.
All exciting stuff, and I'm doing my best to wait patiently! It's tough 🤣 Dunno if you read the comments, but I gotta ask: How long did it/will it take your rig(s) to render that complete animation?!? I think the most you mentioned in the last Q&A was 48 days, and this has to be longer!
Holy shit 48 days to render an animation!? Dude needs to invest in a PC on steroids to cut down those times lol
