Status update Episode 9
I hope everyone's excited about the weekend. To kick it off, I have an announcement to make.
I've been working on a side project lately since last year's survey showed me who you wanted to see more of.
And today, I can proudly announce a new project named Being a Dawe, with a story centered around the jocks' struggle on campus.
You'll see some familiar lovable faces like Dawe, Chad, and Anthony, and not to mention popular girls like Arieth and background character #2.
There will also be a new character named April, last name Fools.
Haha, I hope I got some of you with that, but I doubt it.
Development news
This week I worked mainly on static renders. I've focused on Josy/Maya, Others, and Jill branches. Sage and Bella already got similar treatment before this.
The current progress is ~800 static renders and 40 animations.
We're still very early on in development, yet ironically we have surpassed the produced content of the Interlude now.
I've almost reached a point where I will focus on free-roam events and lewd scenes for several weeks. I have many, oh so many, planned animations to pose. So, I hope you'll be ok with hearing me ramble about that for a while.
But first, I will isolate myself and write as much dialogue as possible this next week. I need more written material to continue creating art.
Poll news
Josy was the winner in the last week's poll. She will receive a Special render set in episode 9.
She hasn't gotten a Special render set since Episode 1, so I'm very excited about making a new one for her; it's been long overdue, and I will do my best.
Have a nice weekend

Aerith reminds me of a scene i saw from somewhere :D
Heart skipped a beat on that one.
DPC, I think if you had tried "Being a Derek" , instead of Dawe, you would have sucked us all into that trap.
Thank God that was just an April fools joke. I was reading it thinking who TF would want that? lol good one!
I want it. Shit would be hilarious.
You almost got me man. I was thinking, What the Dawe!! :O
Just be happy that he didn't plant the picture of Dawe/Wendy and/or Dawe/Linda lewd scenes in our minds. Of course, I don't think even DPC could be that cruel.
I get the joke in the background but why is there blood on the couch ? Some kind of foreshadowing ?
I appreciate the meme in the background. Gave me a good chuckle.
Doc, I kinda shit my pants a little. That is the worst I've ever been pulled by an April fool's gag. Respect 👊🏻
I was really excited about Arieth, but now I'm sad.
That *was* pretty funny. Thanks for the update and making such an amazing game.
Lol, don't think I've actually ever really fallen for a April fool's joke, it kinda comes with the territory when it's my birthday. 😉 I can promise you that it always felt very creative etc when every single year (until around my 18th birthday) when someone or other tried to be funny (or mean lmao) by calling me an April fool's Joke...sigh. There was always someone. 🙃 You mentioned Josy being one of the winners to get special renders in EP 9, but who was the 2nd? Jill or Bella? Keep up the awesome work! 🙂
the poll for Jill and Bella hasn't happened yet
Loooooooooooooooooool 😂😂😂
My first thought was noooooo! Don't do anything that will distract you from Episode 9. Then I relaxed. Thanks for the chuckle.
I was thinking that DPC is going stir crazy. Or maybe just crazy.
I was buying it. :)
.....why is there blood on the the couch?
You got me there! :DDDDDDDD
Hahaha for a moment I forgot it was april first lol
Lol.... the couch with arieth on it is a good easter egg.
DPC- You got me. I just thought the April Fools character was the prank, but you opened up Pandora's box (as opposed to Arieth's Box which is open 24/7) because you just pitched an idea for a spinoff your fans would truly long for. J
Wow, you got me LOL I didn't know that i wanted this game (Being a Dawe), but now I do haha
I so want to see this now! Maybe as a comic?
Got me too, forgot the day :-), Good one Dr
i was lookin forward to that for some reason xD
He got me. Tbh I'll play anything you push out at this point lol
Good one lol. Thanks for the updates looking forward to ep 9... I'm 40 and been playing games since atari and NES and play a lot of games..but further eps of BAD are my most anticipated thing
Can we have more scenes with Heather please?
tbh this should actually be a shorty at some point :D (eventhough calling dawe a lovable face is a bit of a stretch)
Man that totally got me lol. I was like "hmm, I guess he's trying something new...?"
Id actually play that tbh
I would play the shit out of "Being A Dawe". No joke.
#FUCKYOUDAWE
I fell for the prank
Kkkkkkkk. You got me!
Finally!! I wanted something that made us understand better!!! Awesome stuff Doc! Enjoy the weekend!
Man, I thought you were pulling a George R R Martin there for a second.
Real shit, I was kinda for the idea of that side story. Like the interlude, for example, it really made it feel like a living world. Events and stories unrelated/semirelated to the main story. But, I can understand the creative strain. In all, you make great stuff, and this game is in my top 5, easily.
I feel like that would've been some good comic relief though and glad josy is getting some love she definitely needs it
You had me in the first half, not gonna lie
Same
Thanks for the update, as usual, DPC! Glad things seem to be going so well.
I mean, if there is a scene of Dawe reacting to #FYDawe, I'll get a good laugh out of that.
Ironically, I’d play it. God bless for some Josy love. I am so so ready. 😮💨
Great! Looking forward to Josy's special renders!
Finally, our hopes for a Dawe/Chad scene may be coming true!
I knew IT! Josy won AND Dawe would finally get the treatment he deserves
🤣
