Status update Episode 8
Following last week's big update, this one will be shorter.
I'm working on the checklist I presented last week here.
This week I worked mainly on static renders for a couple of big scenes and wrote code.
I've purchased and added new music and sound effects and playtested a few scenes.
I have added everyone who signed up to be in the credit section of the game.
1036 patrons, on top of all anonymous donors, are now listed in the credits.
It's crazy to think that back when episode 1 was released, there were 17 patrons in the credit section.
Next week I will start off focusing on writing and most likely posing animations.
Have a nice weekend

@DrPinkCake I'm probably not the first to ask but do you take suggestions for future developments? If so let me know, I've been having quite a few ideas for potential Season3 and 4 if the game is able to evolve long enough. -cheers.
surely im not the only one wanting to date lily lol such an amazing game and for someone who has been a console gamer for life till found this and hasnt been on the ps5 in 2 months due to this and others VNs it speaks highly to the level of quality of this title.. its FAR better than any of the modern day AAA title games forconsole
Hehe same here. Especially since they kinda hint at the possibility when you go all the way with her and she asks if you're "with" someone for social status...
jill about to give up them draws hahahaha
Let there be MORE JILL
it may be something you considered already but im amazed Quinn and co. havent gone for the web cam girl option to solve there financial matters.. quinn rio and camila sarah and melanie especially.. it would open some fresh new 'hookup' oportunitys too if they try and lure mc into helping them on cam for a share of profits to support the dik house
The wait is so painful but so gonna be worth it. I'm just waiting for that "final preview" to pop up just before we are given the time for the final testing. Till then i will play Acting lessons and BAD through again for the 20th time lol
Thanks for the update Doc your awesome 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Your work deserves the support.. i'll admit after just recently completing Acting lessons it did fill me with actual tears and such emotion that i hard a hard tim finishing it but i did BUT being a Dik is just so many things in one that its groundbreaking.. every episode pushes the boundaries of the last.. there is so much actual FUN stuff to do and player involvment through the mini games which i love.. This project is the benchmark that all others should strive to be like and like any good tv series i hope you widen your scope for a multi season run as i never wanna see this end.. unless it goes into acting lessons end genre then god help us all lol.. You have a life long invester here with more cah coming your way once a fe of my other pledges run their course freeing up that capital
I totally agree, those are the best VN out there no question! The texts are really good in both Acting lessons and Being a DIK. They generate strong emotions and not many games can say that. I'm way over 50h in acting lessons and managed to get everything and I must have 40 playthroughs total on Being a DIK already both on and off steam. It's been a while since I got that hooked on a game. I really hope they're planning a 3rd season and I'm more than happy to keep financing this. It's the only game I sponsor and I wish I could afford to give even more. @DrPinkCake, keep up the good work!
im getting wayyyyyy too excited.
Looks like a larger (4+ person) group session of Gender Studies. I have a bad feeling Derek got paired with his favorite feminists from the looks of this pic. Have mercy on his soul! LOL
Thank you for the update, take your time! 🥰
Ahh damn it,, missed the deadline haha, never mind.. can’t wait for episode 8 though!
Nice.
How do you get your name in the credits? Or is it too late now?
Yep it ended on Wednesday, and you gotta be a +$30 supporter to be in the credit section.
Absolutely worth getting upgrading to get your name in the credits! As always super excited for the season finale and I hope you get your well deserved rest!
Thanks DPC! For the update, no rush at all take your time. We all all waiting patiently for this amazing episode!
Since i am a night owl. I do not mind the late night updates. The Last episode released on my Birthday April 23. Had to lower my Tier sadly until my work picks back up. This fucking Pandemic is an encumbrance.
Appreciate it Doc.
Thanks Doc!! You are honestly creating the best AVN I have ever played
DPC up late to get us these updates, truly tha goat 🐐
