Status update Episode 4
Thank you all for the support and great feedback after Episode 3 release. For those of you who had the chance to play it, I hope you enjoyed it!
The $5 tier hasn't had the chance to play it yet, so I will keep my posts spoiler free until they do (Friday 30th August).
This week has been all about dealing with the aftermath of the Episode 3 release.
I'm very happy with the overall result, but I did release a patch to take care of the intermittent crashes players of low end PCs experienced. I've done all I can and if your PC is still crashing, with the new version (v0.3.1), it doesn't meet the requirements needed to play Being a DIK.
I've also added an Easy mode to Brawler, since it proved to be too hard for a subset of players. I will continue to fine-tune Brawler when/if needed.
In other news, I'm in the early stages of starting the development of Episode 4.
This means I will reduce my online presence to focus and write dialogue. Thank you for all DMs and comments, sadly I don't have time to answer all of them because I need to develop the game, but I do appreciate and read them.
The upcoming Episode 4 will be the final episode of the so called Season. I will release more details about what this will mean later on.
This weekend will be all about posing animations and building my animation PC (from the 2000 patrons milestone). I'm really excited about this!
The first poll for the next episode will start early September. There will be several interesting animation polls right from the start.

Don't pretend a PC crammed with GPUs will only be used for animations!
A 5 second animation includes 150 frames @30fps. I render each frame for maximum 2 hours to achieve my quality. That's 300 hours = 12.5 days for one animation. My last update had 99 animations. If you think this sounds unfeasible, you should educate yourself about game development with DAZ3D. It's very insulting to insinuate that I'm lying.
quick thought. Would semester be more appropriate than season? Love the game...
Discovered this game over the weekend, played it thinking it would just be some nice sexy fun...ended up so engrossed in the story that I got a bit of mini-mid-life crisis depression missing my college years. Can't wait for the next episode!
I'm wondering if in episode 4 we could add an extra hard to brawler? I found that after a little bit of practice, I'm talking 5 mins, you could beat hard without ever going to the store. After that, it just gets easier and easier until its barely a challenge at all. I don't know what the reward would perhaps some more money? Idk just found hard wasnt that hard.
It's an interesting suggestion. I find brawler at hard easy, too. I'm going to think about how it could be designed to be more unforgiving.
Great game, its a lot of fun to play but am i the only one wondering about the hair styles of the ladies? They were so much better in Acting Lessons :O esp. Sage and Maya look like they went to a 70's hairdresser :D Still, nothing really to complain, love your games :)

hope for sage special renders in episode 4. Looking forward to episode 4 after that cliffhanger.
:) Yeah, she hasn't won a special poll yet. Neither have Maya, Quinn and Camila. That poll is one of my favorites.

If your really doing this game all by yourself man,im gonna say your a beast/your a monster your a legend man,i dont know how its possible but i guess it is.And i wish you all the best in your future updates and games ima keep following your work.

Great characters, great story, really superb writing and action. I'm enjoying DIK completely.
Game is great. Best I've played in this genre. Your character writing is on point! It's impossible to not become invested in the different characters. Can't wait for the next chapter. The end of 3 left my jaw on the floor!!
This game is so awesome I had to play it over from the beginning for both DIK and CHICK paths....Both MCs skills are at max at the beginning of 3.1. Keep the Brawler the way it is......im loving it.
I agree. Brawler is perfect now. Also how seamlessly the fight scenes are from the Action Phase.
