Final Status update Episode 12
We have finally reached the last status update for episode 12.
Beta testing has been going on for about a week now, and my overall feeling is that the beta version is stable.
The testers are working on a big list of tasks (Over 40 tasks with sub-tasks to go), providing feedback and finding bugs. So far, most of the bugs have been small, with only a couple being bad enough to warrant a day-one patch.
And that's why I'm thankful for this testing period and the testers' help. They take the hit, so that you don't have to.
I do not have a release date to announce today, but it will be posted soon. I want the beta testers to have a bit more time before I announce anything prematurely.
Beta testing is carried out on the full HD version of the game, which is the version that will be released on Patreon. The 4K versions will be tested after the Patreon release, and will be released on Steam and GOG as optional and free DLC, as it's not feasible for me to distribute a 104 GB game on Patreon.
When beta testers were asked to give a short comment on their feelings about testing episode 12, they said:
"I need more saves..."
"oh FUCK OFF DPC"
"Oh boy."
"Paaaaaaaaaaaainnnnnn."
"This is the PT where I moved from "not interested" to "seriously disliking" [REDACTED]"
"I don't want to give a comment. Just write something."
I'd take those comments with a grain of salt.

Fixed an issue with saving at a scene when a Special Render could be picked up.
Fixed an issue where the Task list would tell you to take care of your fish, even when they had already died.
Fixed a bug where the burner sound wouldn't stop after turning it off in the Science class mini-game.
Fixed a bug where scrolling back and forth in Jacob's Art Shop would rollback the scene.
Fixed a bug that caused the fish game interface to stay on the screen if you opened the phone during it when playing without mini-games.
There is now a notification when a new image is added to the phone gallery, as long as the phone gallery doesn't already have an exclamation mark.
The middle mouse button can now be used to close the Fish tank mini-game.
Moved the main menu version label into the Changelog.
Added a Quit button to the main menu.
Added a Changelog to the main menu.
Fixed a potential issue with the order of the girls in the Stats app, depending on when you first opened that tab in Season 3.
Fixed an issue with Camila's Episode 9 lewd scene that caused it not to have the light filter effect when replayed from the gallery.
Updated Click to continue text to an outlined screen version.
Fixed a bug where Nora was added before Nick in the Bios app.
Fixed an issue with the English test that caused "Quit" to be filled in when starting the test if you chose to quit the test instead of completing it.
Fixed a variable being set erroneously when kissing Sally in episode 11.
If you bought an art piece from the 2D art shop in another playthrough, it will display as the item being SOLD in your current playthrough to help avoid confusion.
Fixed an issue with the episode 10 recap.
Fixed an issue with the Chat app that would cause a mismatch between who's sending and receiving the text.
Fixed an issue with Bella's lewd scene in episode 9 that would end prematurely if a choice was selected twice.
Fixed an issue where studying for Science lab didn't reset the bonus timer.
Fixed the scrollbar in the Bios app for profiles with few entries.
Fixed an alignment issue with the Beer Pong mini-game chances text.
Fixed a bug with the Math class special render.
Fixed an image issue during Josy and Maya's lewd scene in episode 11.
Improved the Music bar on the phone's home screen. The Music bar displays the current song as long as the phone is enabled, and you can also add/remove songs to your favorites.
Improved the line spacing in the History screen. Entries have less space between them and more lines fit on the screen.
Reordered the gallery chronologically for Episode 11.
Fixed an issue with John Boy's scene before the first free roam event in episode 11.
Fixed some minor issues with temporary variables and saving during spots that use them.
Added Bella's on-screen text conversation to the chat app.
Fixed a bug where you could get a scene without the correct prerequisites at the Christmas party free roam event.
Fixed an issue where the new gallery pictures from the Chat app could be set out of bounds in the gallery app.
Fixed a bug with the puzzle box that would allow an incorrect solution to side V.
Fixed a bug where the final button of the puzzle box could be prematurely unlocked.
Fixed an issue with Science - Experiment 1 waiting times that was introduced in v0.11.0.
Fixed an issue with the optional task list that didn't remove the "Take care of your fish" task if you took care of them from the aquarium instead of your fish bowl.
Fixed a variable that was set incorrectly. It won't affect your saves.
Fixed the order of Chad's phone number in the Contacts app.
Corrected typos

i got a question,is the downloaded season 3 with the 2 previous episodes on the site wel are the saves compatible with the steam release?
If I'm not mistaken Patreon and Steam saves are incompatible but don't just take my word for it I'm sure it says it somewhere on this site.
Finally, the final update. A BIG THANK YOU, Pink, for your hard work and dedication on the project. And also a HUGE KUDOS to the beta testers as you make sure, we will get a flawless experience when the episode will be released. I am so looking forward to the season finale! First task in August will be upgrading and enjoying the screenshots i missed so far :-)
Excellent work as always while a bummer the 4K option only available on steam/gog I get it on the plus side no reason to buy a 4K monitor yet that said those fixes are awesome most notable is the one with Isabelle’s text showing up in the chat ap I am not sure but I hope it gets added in an update for ep 8 regardless looking forward to downloading the completed season three when i start my reply in the fall congrats my man

Sounds great doc. Glad to hear the beta testers will take the brunt of any bugs. Even though I haven't run into anything noticeable ever in all the releases I have been through here. It's great that you have people you trust to do it for you. I'm looking forward to the release date announcement as well. Do saves from patreon version work with the steam version? I would like to know since I want to play season 3 in 4k but not sure if saves transfer over from patreon version.

Yea, I went from 12-20 playthroughs from seasons 1 and 2(before I went Patreon), to over 60 just trying things for episode 9, to however many from just doing a full replay from scratch for playing from start through episode 11. Each full playthrough now isn't short, since I keep expecting to find something I've STILL never seen before.
Those comments are fully in keeping with what one could expect from a DPC game! I can't wait.

Hello doctor! I'm so so so hyped about the release right now! We're so close now! You and your beta testers are the best! Those beta testers comments are making scared as fuck though. I'm now expecting that what we're going to discover in Bella's closet is going to be super dark and all of us who were foolish enough to sleep with Jade and then show it off to the DIKs WHILE romancing Sage are going to face a fight with her that feel like being hit by a strategic nuclear missiles exchange! 😆 Also those of us who returned to Zoey while on another one path (not me though, sorry Zoey, but you spectacularly missed your timing 😉) will most certainly experience one of the most painful conversations that they've ever had in a video game. That's going to be an hell of an experience! This episode's gonna either hit you like a high speed train or be one of the most wholesome experience you've ever had!
The challenge, going the virgin route and then the return to Zoey with all of the stuff that being on the Others path throws at you.

If anyone still had some interest in Becky at the start of episode 11, it was most certainly destroyed by the conversation between her, Zoey and the others. Becky acted like a massive bitch to Zoey for no reason other than jeallousy. Becky has the personality of a thorn in your foot. To paraphrase the "Black Fish" from Game of Thrones, I've had wet shits more pleasant than Becky. 🤣

More seriously -- glad the beta is going well and that the Universe didn't call you on your "what could go wrong?" challenge a while back. Looking forward to picking up the full season on Steam so I can play the 4k version... just debating if I want to do it as clean playthroughs or pick up from saves (well, likely will with my Idiot save that has a lot of red headed drama justifiably coming his way... I doubt I could do that intentionally again at this point). One of these days maybe I'll even be able to do the Interlude drawings fast enough... If you aren't planning on taking at least a little time off before ramping up on Episode 13, I hope you do.
