Status update Episode 12
Happy Friday!
This week, I mixed it up a bit by writing dialogue and coding. It's hard to report on that, so instead I figured I would show the episode's current progress in rough strokes. I made a similar graph a few months ago, and this is an updated version.
Most of the progress you see compared to last time is due to the completion of larger scenes and progress on the free roam event I worked on for several weeks. By the way, that free roam event has only a couple of scenes left before it's complete (phone content is needed as well), but most of the art is done.
From the graph above, of the remaining scenes, roughly 40% are for the main girl branches, 15% for the side girls, and 45% for the canon story.
Music/SFX work this time around is still very sparse, but one of these weeks, I will sit down and play the episode more and add songs and sound. I need to be in the right mindset for this.
Static renders progress is ~75%.
Posed animations progress ~84% (This is when counting animations in the render queue and the completed animations)
Completed animations progress ~59% (Which means that 25% of the expected total animations are in the render queue at the moment)
I cannot accurately estimate the dialogue progress, but it should be around the static render progress.
Overall progress 75%. I say this percentage with some hesitation, as it's scary to estimate this number when I feel like I have a lot left to do, but logically, it's around this.
Take these numbers with a grain of salt. If the episode grows bigger, the progress above will be slightly lower.
Yesterday I went back to posing renders and animating again, and that's likely what I'll do next week, too.

Doc? You're the best. I've been on this journey with you for years now, and I'm in no rush to see it end. Everything you pump out is gold to me, and the more time you take to sand out the rough edges, the better we'll all be for it. Keep chugging, bossman.

Just finally played and finished my "first "run" of acting lessons that will stick with me for a while. Now I am about to start my repaly of DIK looking foward for what comes next
I only have acieved two of the 22 endings that said yes I have palyed a few of these games so far and I played DIK first but that one was deep just the endigng of episode 6 and onward the music really drove it home
Again thanks for all of your work. I hope it remains a project of love for you through the final seasons. I know I have greatly enjoyed the replay ability and the thinking it makes me do about each play.

Thats great being that I am finally playing lessons for the first time not to mention all my saves for DIk were wrecked back in the summer plenty of time to get caught up awesome work as allways
Finally finished three episodes of my firts run. Holy Hell I defintly see the pattern between the two games now. Also while I am not finished yet. Yup the prequel thing would have not have been the way to go. good call but I do see some over lap which is fun

Happy Friday. Very nice, I like. I know creators hate being asked when is it ready. Other than than trolling it's the #1 criticism is that you guys get is progress is too slow. Sadly they might be the biggest fans because they love the content, also people are developing the attention span of gold fish. But I'm glad to hear that you're getting close to the finish line and will happily wait until it's done.

I'm frustrated that the game's development process is taking longer due to 4K renders
It is not. You should read my post explaining why it doesn't change the render speed. TLDR, I have rendered in 4K since episode 1 and simply reprocessed everything with a script. https://www.patreon.com/posts/145679256
