Status update Episode 12
It's been a good week. I've worked on the big free roam event, taking it scene by scene and creating the art chronologically to get a feel for the content as I go. There are some natural checkpoints along the road that make this possible.
57 scenes remain to be created - ranging from short to very long. Of those 57 scenes, 10 scenes have no writing or partial writing; the rest need art.
I'm 30-35% done with the free roam event in terms of render calls. I've coded the basic structure for the free roam event. When I create the art for the scenes, I also code them so they trigger when I play.
436 static renders and 41 animations are in the render queue. I only have one PC dedicated to rendering static renders; the rest are working on animations.
The 92-second cutscene animation is rendering across multiple systems and is 19% complete. This speed should pick up next week when I allocate more render slaves to this task.
203 animations have been completely rendered, which is a nice milestone. I'll soon reach the 4000 static renders milestone too, hopefully next week.
Alongside this, I'm preparing some December news for Steam and GOG, which should be of interest to you too.
Have a nice weekend

Can't wait! clearly this game takes a lot of attention to details and the artwork is tremendous. I'll hate to see it come to an end.
Thanks for the update! Kinda wish it would be finished and uploaded today but i know thats impossible. Its just today is not a good day and I really need the depth of escapism your game/ story offers... :') Honestly, thanks for your work.
DPC, quick question for you. Recently, I have been having an issue with my computer freezing up fairly frequently now. Its a fairly old laptop. I've ordered a new laptop and was wondering if it's possible to save the Saved Games on my external backup drive for uploading when I get a new comp. I am not sure if they are backed up on Steam.
For what it's worth, I just built a new PC and when I downloaded the game and went into it, all my old saves were there. I don't know if OneDrive somehow got involved or what, but everything was there.
Thanks a looot for the good work omg I just discovered your game and it's a masterpiece !!! Have a nice sunday !

Thanks for the update. That is quite a number of renders.
I'll be honest I read your updates and I still don't fucking understand haha. For a crayon eating fella like me can you say over percentage of completion. Ball Park I ain't looking for an exact date.
You can see the free roam as 30-35% done. But I haven't checked the entire episode as a % yet, as I'm focusing on a smaller stretch of it right now.
