Status update Episode 12
Whoosh. It's Friday again.
This week, I completed the lewd scene I had been working on and then focused on creating static renders, which I worked on for the better part of the week. It involved some environmental design, which is always fun.
I've mostly been working on canon content, with a splash of side girls. I've also worked on a free roam event.
There's one scene in the episode that I wrote a long time ago, that I'll soon create art for. It's one of those scenes that I've waited all these years of development to create. It's going to feel like reaching a climax to create it, haha.
Although the scene had been written for a long time, I didn't rush to create it when episode 12 development began because it's a rather challenging scene to work with for many reasons. One reason is that I want to do it justice; another is that I need to nail all the details. I think I'm close to starting work on it, possibly next week or the week after that. I guess what I wanted to say is that I will work on something truly special soon.
The animation queue is looking good. 47 animations are queued and waiting to render.

Those are great news! It must feel amazing to finally see how that scene you've been excited about finally come to life in the way you always wanted it. I'm curious to know which scene it will be. What would be cool is that, a while after the episode 12 has been released, you would tell us which scene it is. That way we would maybe appreciate even more your work on it without spoiling it.

Nice update. I would love to have a "Developer's Cut" someday when the game is finished. Would be fun to play through the game and reading your statements, memories, fun facts, and so for the different scenes (and you could always put some hints in them what could be explored...)! Thanks for all your hard work!
sry if dumb question but does anyone know how to view the halloween photos? idk if it's a fake hyperlink but says it can be viewed "here" but doesn't open when clicked
Do you mean the Halloween photos in-game? You can see them on your phone as you progress through the story (Jacob needs to edit them iirc). Open up your phone and click the top-left gallery icon next to the "CakeNet" (see image below). https://imgur.com/0N6rHg8

How do I download episodes 9 and 10? Also, episode 11 is giving me a corrupt file in WinWar
Episode 9/10 are included in v0.11.1 download: https://www.patreon.com/posts/123521555 If you're getting corrupt Winrar, you need to redownload the files. I would suggest deleting all downloaded files before downloading again as file names of duplicates will have (1) as copies and that will also cause an issue with the extraction. So, 1) clear the download folder of old game files 2) redownload 3) unzip with winrar again

Do you ever feel exhausted, creatively? I imagine it would get difficult to not get burnt out when working on the same creative project for so long. Does the non-creative technical parts help with creativity fatigue, or do you work on other projects to keep from burning out?
Nah, there's always something fun to do or look forward to. It can be a single scene, an animation, a piece of code, some dialogue, music etc. that keeps the passion juices flowing.
