Status update Episode 12
After I complete the scene I'm working on, I will continue working on a main girl lewd scene - including writing and art. I'm currently doing plenty of this kind of work to increase the render queue. It isn't the most exciting thing to write about weekly in these updates, but that's what's going on on my end.
The animation count for episode 12 is now over 100 posed animations. Woop woop! A mini-milestone for the episode development right there.
I wanted to share my thoughts on upgrading hardware. The render software I use, DAZ3D, updated its support for 5090 GPU cards this week, and it's something I am looking into. It's a buggy alpha build, but it shows potential.
I won't be able to upgrade my hardware as fast this time, as there are other issues than just building new render stations and buying GPUs. To use 5090 cards, I need to upgrade DAZ3D to the latest version, which renders the scripts I use during development useless, as I've kept an older DAZ version for years to use obsolete scripts.
I would need to find ways to either make these important scripts compatible with a newer version of DAZ or find suitable substitutes. There are also other changes to lighting and settings that I haven't upgraded, which require time to relearn and tweak.
However, to be able to work with new GPUs in the future, I have to make this switch at some point. That's why I will be exploring this, as well as a migration to Windows 11, during this development cycle on a PC built for testing purposes. Whenever I have something to share with you in this area, I'll let you know.

He had a thing with or for Cathy (prior to MC going to college)- that's how Jade realized he had been cheating. Jade tells this to MC after class when MC stayed after class.

Oh my, you might have sparked a hardware buying debate here DPC :) In my experience you should get whichever hardware is best supported by the software you're using. There's usually recommendations on their forums.
AMD is releasing new 8945HS processors with AI that you can allocate 96GB of RAM to the graphics. They're still a bit pricey...but they can game. They compare to 4070 graphics. The one I want is coming in a HP mini workstation PC. Supposed to be released next Spring for about $12-1400.
DPC uses 4090s currently, the processors you are referring to will be a downgrade in terms of processing power.
I think RTX A6000 is better for rendering and the job your PCs always do compared to RTX 40 or 50 series.
I really like this kind of dev update, bc it gives us a peek at another side of this game we all know and love. It's kind of like seing someone's house on messy days, this kind of intimacy.....and i love it hope you get this hardware stuff solved quickly doc, either to keep using the old one or changing it thanks for all the hard work!

Wow 100 animations this fast insane as for the hardware that does make sense to hold off until all is figured out but lots of luck the update when it happens. By the way thanks for answering my question on the Q&A that was very informative. Have a great weekend DOC

Awesome stuff Dr Pink, 100 posed animations sounds like a hell of a start. Honestly if i where you, id stick with what works, and there have been so many problems with the 50 series GPU's from Nividia, i don't believe it would be worth the time and risk in switching. Thank you for the update Doc, I'm no expert but i would suggest to you to stick to your current set up and save up the money for the future or if something goes wrong with the hardware you are using now. good luck man and cannot wait for the next episode.
Have you tried using something like Microsoft Copilot to update the scripts for compatibility? It works really well for software i use for work.
