Status update Episode 11
I hope the end of 2024 is treating you well. Amidst work, I've had a couple of nice days off celebrating Christmas.
This week, I added music to all remaining scenes and will have to analyze if more is needed in some areas. At the moment, 42 new songs have been added to episode 11. Sound effects still need more work, but not a lot.
I added the lewd events of episode 11 to the Stats app and will ensure that it works while playing.
I've played through the episode three times this week. I played Others, Josy & Maya, and Sage branches and noted what to fix. I'm encountering fewer issues with every playthrough and making good progress with the polishing.
Josy & Maya's branch needs some more work in one area in particular, but it feels good other than that. I have only played one variation of the Others branch so far, and it also felt good. I will have to play through more variations to get a different feel for it later. I finished playing Sage's branch today, and I need to play more variations of this branch as well.
To take a break from playing the episode, I'm parsing the dialogue to tighten and correct it. I've parsed about 100 pages of a 400-page Word document and will continue until I finish before I start playing the episode again.
Next week, I will play through Isabella's branch and likely revisit Others and Sage branches with new variations.
All my systems work on animations, except when I must re-render static renders to fix something. Four different lewd scenes are rendering across the PCs, and the render speed varies from scene to scene. Some of the animations rendered this week were longer than others, ranging from 4 to 15 seconds. At this time, it's tricky to predict how many animations will be rendered weekly.
55 animations remain in the queue; unless I miscounted, there should be 392 animations in total for episode 11.

Season 3 will consist of episodes 9-12 and season 4 will be the last one. If there will be four episodes again, we will see.
I paid for one month at the end of December. Why did you take my money twice??? How does this work?
you get charged at the 1st of every month if you just joined it took money for December when you joined and January because it's the 1st and Happy New year

Wondering if Sage and Jill routes show them meeting Neil? For some reason I want to see how that scene would play out. Playful and funny or would Neil be happy but thoughtful about MC mum? Both girls' reaction to the meet would be interesting too.

When it is done. Don't mean to sound flippant, but I would rather it be DONE, than slapped out before Doc is ready because some are getting antsy. Have patience, Do another playthrough or 50, and know Ep 11 will be polished and more great storytelling
AHHH i cant wait to play the new EP. Ik riona isnt a relationship option (WISH IT WAS) but im so curious on how the MC will rescue her. Keep up the great work doc as always !
They kinda set her up for connection with MC, but that also is a red flag for some of us who played Acting Lessons :)

You do realize the story gets more complex as you go right? Branches expand and more options become available for the story to follow. It will be done when its done. This isn't some AAA rush job to just slap trash out the door. This is art :) Let Doc do his work and enjoy it when it's ready.

Id love it, I wouldn't count it out just yet. If you already have access to Episode 10, if you look in the rewards section of the gallery you will notice I believe 2 blacked out sections. They could be anyone....

My first post and it sounds like things are progressing well with the next season. Looking forward to its release. I can tell it's going to be a good one. I made a comment on the Patreon subscription intro page regarding a separate branch that gave MC the option to walk away from Josy/Maya completely after the bombshell reveal, creating more emotional drama throughout the 2nd season and allowing for a reconciliation towards the end. MC has been hurt before, doubt he'd be happy with still being friends with two girls who have hurt him deeply again. Or perhaps that's just me being vindictive. Is it too late to add something like that ? ;)
Since this is your first post, welcome. If you haven't gone on the Discord, I strongly suggest it(very active community). One thing I learned when I first went Patreon(this was the first project I supported) is that there is a plan for the overall story, so if something is set, then no player choice is going to change it. The entire MC with the relationships with the main and secondary women will not change the main storyline or those events that are planned to happen no matter what. Variations may come in, but the events themselves are pretty much set in stone. Unfortunately, that means that certain things that annoy many/most of us won't change. The MC is going to stay somewhat close to the mains, because they are central to the overall story. On the positive side, with the level of branching already in the game when it comes to individual relationships, if the main story could also branch, it would take that much longer to develop each episode from that point, because MAIN storyline events that are set in stone would no longer be locked in.
Is there a Josy only route?

Hello Doc, I'm glad you had a few peaceful days. I hope you had a good time over the Christmas holidays, even with the loss. It's only been two months since my sister died and we used the holidays as a family to think about her a lot and share the many good memories of her. I see that you still have a bit of work to do. Just the time you need to fine-tune it shows how big this episode will be. Other developers would make 2-3 episodes out of it. So I would like to thank you very much for your hard work. Can you do me a favor when you play through Sage Branch again: give her my greetings and tell her we'll meet again soon. I'm sorry for your loss...I hope you are able to distract yourself during this difficult time. The majority of these type of games don't set the episodes up as cleanly, so they meander all over the place. For those games, the episodes themselves don't really have a beginning, middle, or end, and you just get more content without the feeling of the game actually going somewhere. That is why BAD stands out, because every single episode feels like it was planned out the way a TV show or movie would be, and every season is planned out as well, with the episodes fitting into that plan.

I can just imagine the NASA super computer Doc has in their house, solely dedicated to the rendering of busty gingers, stacked brunettes, and sexy blondes.😂
AMD Threadripper or dual EPYC with 96 cores per CPU might do well if the rendering is being handled by the CPU and not just using GPU power for the rendering. Full open loop liquid cooling as well would be sweet, but it also takes a bit of effort to set up an open loop cooler in the first place, which would take away time from development.
