The Future of OverDrive: Vote For The Next Project!

While I am actively fine-tuning the world mechanics for the upcoming Gameplay Overhaul, it is time to look at what comes next. We are building a modular, hardcore simulation experience, and I want you to decide which direction we take for the next release.

Here are the two concepts on the table. Take a look and drop your vote in the comments.

Option A: OverDrive Cargo Pack (60+ New Cargos!)

This project brings the focus back to pure logistics and freight variety. Rather than just hauling generic boxes, this pack introduces over 60 new, carefully researched cargo types specifically for closed trailers (curtainsiders, dry vans, reefers, and tankers).

Diverse Real-World Categories: Expanding the cargo pool with over 60 highly specific goods divided into logical sectors:

Automotive & Heavy Industry: Components, gearboxes, raw metallurgy, and specialized assembly parts.

Retail & FMCG: Fast-moving consumer goods, packaging materials, and electronics.

Agriculture & Temp-Controlled: Specific foodstuffs, processed ingredients, and temperature-sensitive reefer loads.

Chemicals & ADR: Realistic hazardous precursors, industrial gases, and liquids requiring strict compliance.

Data-Driven Payouts: Every one of the 60+ new loads is mathematically balanced to fit the strict 2026 haulage rates established in Economy V4.0. No inflated earnings—just grind-focused, realistic compensation based on weight, distance, and risk.

Aesthetic & Immersion: Each cargo comes with a dedicated, custom-made 2D icon for the freight market, giving the job UI a highly realistic, professional overhaul.

Clean Integration: Built entirely through text-based definitions and icons, meaning zero FPS drops and 100% compatibility with other mods without requiring resource-heavy 3D modeling.

Option B: OverDrive ReShade

This project focuses on matching our hardcore gameplay with equally hardcore visual realism.

Gritty Atmosphere: A custom post-processing preset that completely removes the washed-out, artificially bright vanilla lighting, replacing it with a colder, photorealistic European tone.

Realistic Night & Weather: Deepens shadows and cabin darkness to make rainy nights, foggy mornings, and unlit highways genuinely challenging to navigate.

Simple Setup: Distributed as a single, lightweight .ini file that runs independently of your mod manager and does not conflict with any gameplay files.

How to vote:

Let me know what you want to see next. Drop a comment below with CARGO or RESHADE! Let’s keep expanding this world together. Let me know what you think! Let the voting begin! Or tell me if you have some other ideas for our overhauls. See you on the road!

I'd like to see both of them. But i'll choose the cargo pack.
