Gurren Lagann Ep 11

I always tear up when i hear simon's speech. It's the perfect encapsulation of who Simon is cause yeah compared to the speeches of kamina who had the charisma to make people watch, his speech is nothing but raw emotion, being sewed with only sadness, frustration, and determination. And of course the amazing voice of yuri lowenthal obviously bringing it all together
Yoko never liked Simon like that, you fell for the classic: "This girl is being nice to me? that must mean she likes me!!"
I mean... they DO live in the apocalypse... I agree with what we're saying here, but the world they're living in is genuinely just so much worse than ours, so it's kinda understandable that they'll have that sorta thought process when it comes to grief at this stage.
Wait, this was redeemed? I thought you stopped doing redeemed shows because the backlog got too big? Isn't that what happened to Angel Beats? The whole show was redeemed but so was a bunch of other stuff so the decision was made to stop allowing redemptions?
So if I don't like it this episode its ok to say I really don't like the show?
okay but lets be REALLLY HONEST here...kaminia would not have been any better than Kittan
THANK YOU WHOEVER MADE THIS PRIORITY
Now this is the turning point
my boy simon does his best work with his girl in his lap. claps all around
Annnnnnnd WE'RE BACK! ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER!
I AM ONE OF THE 30 PEOPLE!!!
This is my 2nd favourite episode, after the finale, and the music that plays when Simon starts fighting Guame is my favourite song: Happily Ever After by Shoko Nakagawa, who also sings the op.
its also one of the most crucial episodes for establishing Simon as his own character. Such a feel good series to come back to
How you redeem a series. Is it a tier or something
the amazing reveal of simon doing the break byhimself is that. that power was simon the whole time, kamima simply guided him and gave him a outlet. now our boy is his own man
I am going to LOVE this when they ACTUALLY get to the INSANAITY part....
Lets goooo
