[WIP] Telekinesis update

Hello everyone!

A little video showing some updates on the telekinesis system of the game. Kalyskah can now push enemies to the sides as well as pull them with a shorter command input. Here is how it works:

  • Kalyskah will always push enemies if the Telekinesis (TK) key is pressed quickly without directional input.

  • Kalyskah will always pull enemies if the TK key is pressed quickly while the player is moving backwards. (So now you can more easily pull enemies mid-air)

  • Kalyskah will pull enemies if the key is held for more than 0.2s and the player didn't add a directional input (A similar behaviour to what is was before)

  • Kalyskah will push the enemy towards the input direction if the player holds the telekinesis key for 0.2 seconds, allowing players to push enemies to different sides and diagonals.

  • If Kalyskah pulls an enemy while she’s in mid-air, she’ll float for 0.4 seconds, which can allow for air combos (In the future this mechanic will probably be expanded)

We've chosen to keep a few of the old mechanics based on the feedback received on our last poll here. I know it has a lot of steps and that it might take a few tries to get used to the new system, but once you get used to it, it turns out pretty intuitive and it increases the pace of the combat a lot!

It doesn't mean that we might not change it later though, we'll release a patch to our neonate+ patrons next weekend and at the end of the month, to the public. We'll pay attention to the feedback to make sure we can tweak it a bit more until it is something easy for everyone to use =)

I hope you enjoy it, and now... I'll be back to work on quests!

I know putting one in the game would be pretty time consuming, but do you think you could do a quick "how to" video like the one above on combat? I feel like I'm missing something, because I die to wolves. ...A lot.

That's a good idea! I'll make a video about it after the puppeteers introduction quest is complete, when I'll have more time. =D
