[Hiring] Cinematic Artist for Unreal Engine 5

We are looking for a Cinematic Artist to help us improve and expand the in-game cutscenes for Kalyskah.

This is not a full-time role, but we are looking for someone who can join us part-time for a few months to help bring the game's narrative to life. The work would be created in Unreal Engine 5, especially in Sequencer /Level Sequence, to review our current cinematics and create new ones using animations already in the project.

When needed, new animations may be requested from an animator, so this role is not focused on creating animations from scratch, and it is not a motion capture job.

What we need

  • Strong practical experience with Unreal Engine 5 Sequencer / Level Sequence

  • Good sense of cinematography, including camera placement, shot composition, timing, and visual storytelling

  • Ability to review existing sequences and improve their presentation and pacing

  • Ability to create new cutscenes using our current in-game animation library

  • Comfort working directly inside the Unreal Engine rather than external animation software

Nice to have

  • Basic or strong understanding of lighting scenes in Unreal Engine

  • Any knowledge of Blender, Maya, or other animation tools is a bonus if you'd like to tweak some of the animation sequences we have, but it is not required, since we have a large library of animations to use and someone to work on new ones if needed.

Budget

A monthly budget ranging from $400 to $700, depending on the scope of what was needed to do that month and your experience. As things progress, this reserved budget for cutscenes might increase.

If you are interested, send us:

  • Your portfolio or reel

  • Examples of cutscenes or sequences made in Unreal Engine

  • A short introduction about your experience with Sequencer / Level Sequence

We have made a job post on LinkedIn if you know or are someone who can apply to the job!
