Happy New Year 2024

Hello and Happy New Year to everybody.

I wish you all the best for this new year.

Today, more than ever, I'd like to thank you. It's been over a year since the last version has been released. Switching to a new engine (HDRP) and to a new base model (DAZ Genesis 9) was a difficult choice. In a world where Murphy's law doesn't exist, it would have been a good choice. But, in the real world, this choice caused lots of problems (Unity crashes, DAZ weird skinning) that slowed down my progress.

But, I won't give up.

I've converted lots of hair parts to the new model. Some of them don't look very good yet and will need some tweaking. I've also converted some accessories and added new ones (earings) and converted some animations. 

January will be dedicated to animations. Locomotions, bed and chair animations are my main priority. Then, I'll work on social animations, especially dialog ones. Unfortunately, automated retarget with tools like Auto Rig Pro or Rokoko doesn't give satisfying result. Most of the animations need to be redone from scratch.

I hope the next post I'll be able to give you a date for the next release.
