We're writing a new album
Hello dear patrons...
We're writing to let you know that we are in the midst of creating our next full-length album. It's going to be a really big project and undertaking, and we're massively excited for where it's heading. The concept is quite different from our previous work, and we're still in the early stages of writing, but we will share more with you as the process unfolds (and we promise it won't take 3 years :D)
To help with the workload, for some of the upcoming months we will be releasing some of our older music (exclusively to Patreon). We are sitting on tonnes of unreleased tracks that never saw the light of day, and we want to make these available to you!
So, if there are any tracks of ours that you want to get your hands on, now is the time to let us know! Leave your suggestions in the comments below.
Much love,
Jim + Will

I would love to get ahold of the version of strident that you guys used to open your set at shambhala 2018, that last drop is insane
The one towards the beginning of Seclusion Fusion, Planet i think?
The track after Chilly Daddy in the Polychrome Live mix which starts at 41:28. Also, a very old track called "Happy People", the sequel to Happy Hipsters which was supposed to get a release on Screwloose but never saw the light of day. Wachs Lyrical - Butters (KOAN Sound Remix) The track after OPIUO - Life (KOAN Sound Remix) in the Polychrome mix. Great news about the album! Wishing you an inspired and smooth process of creation.
Naw, not Enchanted. That’s before Sentient. I’m talking about the one after. I do really love Enchanted though!
I obsessed over the track right after Sentient on the Polychrome mix. It’s so funky and catchy that it’s one of my go-to work songs! Would love to hear it in its entirety
Wide open - I bloody love the vibes and feel of this. Same as sugar and cream!!!!
Naughty! There's an old wip up on YouTube of a radio play, I always hoped that would get release I love the funky rhythm and accordion sounding thingy 💙
Always love those VIP's you guys dropped in those mixes over quarantine and such, looking forward to your upcoming works as well! much love :)
Honestly would love any ID that is a bit on the "harder" side of things - would love to hear a new track similar to the vibes from Tetsuo's Redemption or Forgotten Myths. Good luck with the new Album! Can't wait to hear it!
All the unreleased one's in your polychrome mix are banoonanoos and would love have. The one that drops at about 16 minutes in is a bit too filthy though, it always hurts me if I don't stretch first..
Please please PLEASE can you release the full version of the first track in this vid?? It's just so damn dirty! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE1oAf11e9A&list=LL&index=12
Also the track after Cobalt in the Polychrome Mix :)
The opening track from Creamfields 2012 please <3
I really love the track right after 'Opiuo - Life (KOAN Sound Remix)' in the Polychrome Mix, about 54:15 into the mix. Love the funkyness of that one <3
Planet. and the track just before prism pulse in the polychrome live mix
So stoked to hear you guys are working on another album :) I would love to get my hands on the track that came after chilli daddy in your shambhala 2018 set as well as the vip mixes of forgotten myths and drift.
Strike was the song that got me into your work! Does 2015 count as old? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZmO9Nd_Rws

Man this is exciting!! I know these are all old tracks but I would love it if we could get any of the following; Solar Mafia VIP Butters remix Resistance Naughty Dark Room Go Rock Shoe Shine Redemption There's also this track that featured in your Hivemind mix from 16/2/11 that I have no idea the name of but I have a cut of if that would help. (I'd love to even know the name of that one)
PLANET!
Those are my favourite IDs by you. The first one is probabily my favorite Koan Sound track ever. https://soundcloud.com/mynameisalreadytaken/sets/koan-sound-ids/s-pfVJV7R3axt
Awww yeaaaaa
"Planet" for sure.
Fantastic news, can’t wait! Best of luck with the album :)
This is amazing! My personal votes are from the Polychrome mix (song 1 starts at 41:30 and song 2 from 54:20). Besides planet and all the other great suggestions on here, these 2 to me are just 🔥🔥🔥. Stay awesome, guys!
Soo excited about the album!! Guys, I would love to know what this track is! (Pls excuse my housemate 😂) - https://youtube.com/shorts/1c2o1IB4x1g?feature=share
I'm pretty sure it's the one that starts at 7 minutes in their PolyChrome live set! https://soundcloud.com/koan-sound/polychrome-live
Have you guys ever released ID yet? I remember hearing it in the Garden Party and Polychrome Live streams and absolutely loved it, yet I searched and don't think you ever released it. Would love to see it released!
'ID' is a general term for tracks that are unreleased and have no name yet. Find where in the livestreams this track was played and post the timestamp(s) :D
PLEASE release Sugar and Cream!!
^^^^
Yoo so happy to hear this! The tune at 54:37 from Polychrome Live would be my choice :)
That's amazing, I'm so excited! I would love to see "Planet" released, and this amazing track: https://youtu.be/pQDzI3Qkl7E?t=2170. Thank you so much! 🤍
Also gagging for Planet
New album announcement and the opportunity to ask for old dubs, so much excitement in one post :D Been hoping for a release on the ID from the Stickybuds 2017 Shambhala mix since I first heard it so that would definitely be an awesome one to get through here! Also the intro on UKF thanks a billion set and Sex as have been previously mentioned and would be wicked too :)
Best news I've gotten in months, super hyped guys holy S***. Good luck, have fun, enjoy the journey. There are still a handful of your unreleased tracks from your polychrome / visual stream mix that drive me crazy, anything from there would be awesome.
There's definitely a few from your UKF - Thanks a billion set that I would love to see released. The first track of the set and the one called Sex in particular
Do you guys still have the track ‘Solar’ laying around somewhere? Loved that one!
Amazing! Best of luck! Any chance of getting the track after Meraki remix from the Polychrome live set?
Drift VIP pleaaaaseeee 🙏
anything unreleased from the last shambs set
ohhhh and the neuro hop one with the red and yellow flame mandala (20mins in maybe?)
id love to hear the one from the PC live set that starts at around 41(?) minutes. it had this nice plucky arpeggiated bassline and these geometric red and white stripes as visuals :))
That's amazing news boys ! 1 track I've been personally waiting for is in the Polychrome mix at 21 mins in. I first heard it at the Village at shambhala 2015 I believe, that tune still rocks my socks off till this day. But if you're saving that one for live sets only I completely understand.
I'm so excited!
That track from Polychrome Live that starts about 32 minutes in!!!
Ohh yes, the one with hang drum (?) in the intro and that one melodic pluck hit with echo on it in the drop? I wanted that one for ages!
That's nice to hear! Thank you guys for the news, and all the best :)
