🦜 PARROT’S ARK: THE SIGNAL FROM THE MOUNTAINS

The weak transmission from the last voyage led us to a mountain range still rising above the flood.

On the highest plateau, headlights were moving.

Someone had survived.

The rescue teams climbed the ridge and found an entire convoy of Atari machines stranded above the waterline.

To bring them aboard, the engineers opened a brand-new section of the Ark.

πŸš— INTRODUCING TEKNOHDRIVE

A new Atari Hard Drivin' emulator has joined TeknoParrot:

TeknoHDrive

Supported games:

  • Hard Drivin' (cockpit, rev 7)

  • Hard Drivin' (compact, rev 2)

  • Hard Drivin's Airborne (prototype, rev 2.7)

  • Race Drivin' (compact, rev 5)

  • Race Drivin' Panorama (prototype, rev 2.1)

  • Steel Talons (rev 2)

Nine machines from the lost Atari convoy are now safely aboard.

But scouts searching the opposite ridge found another group waiting for rescue.

The Konami Viper crew has also been busy.

GTI Club 2 received several major improvements:

  • Version Selection – Choose between the two supported versions directly in TeknoParrotUI.

  • Force Feedback – FFB support has been added with matching UI configuration.

  • Calibration – The motor check is now skipped so calibration can finish correctly.

  • Online Configuration – The online service now uses the expected gticlub2 XML name.

🏁 SAN FRANCISCO RUSH SERIES

The San Francisco garage received another round of repairs:

  • Rush 2049 SE – Fixed graphics missing from the test menu.

  • Rush 2049 TE – Fixed several issues that could freeze or crash the test menu or trigger a watchdog reboot.

🧭 EXPERIMENTAL TEKNOPARROT UI 2.0

While the Ark continues to grow, work on the next-generation bridge is moving forward as well.

The experimental TeknoParrot UI 2.0 has received a large batch of updates:

  • Ported 388 game profiles and 388 matching metadata files from UI 1.0.

  • Updated 20 existing profiles.

  • Brought legacy launchers, game I/O pipes, force-feedback device support, activation handling, and related UI functionality into 2.0.

  • Added Settings β†’ Input β†’ Import 1.0 Button Bindings.

    • Imports missing bindings while preserving existing 2.0 settings.

    • DirectInput users can select the matching current device and should verify control order afterward.

  • Expanded generic gamepad and joystick discovery and binding across platforms.

  • Added support for up to 16 input slots.

  • Replaced the desktop SDL2 input backend with SDL3 on Windows and Linux.

  • Android continues using native controller events through the shared binding system.

  • Restored the subscriber-aware news window.

  • Added dedicated Android and Linux news views, with browser fallback where needed.

  • Fixed Hide Console so it applies throughout game startup, including secondary executables, without hiding external emulator windows.

  • Improved startup layout on phones.

  • Improved Android legacy-binding import.

  • Enabled default gamepad navigation on Linux.

UI 2.0 is still experimental, but more and more of the old bridge is now being rebuilt inside the new one.

🌐 TEKNOPARROT UI & WEBSITE

TeknoParrotUI also received additional metadata updates.

The website received two important improvements:

  • A new subscriber ticket system for support

  • Improvements to the news page

🌊 THE ARK SAILS ON

By sunset, the Atari convoy and the newly discovered Model 2 survivors were aboard.

The mountain roads vanished beneath the rising water behind us.

Then the radio came alive again.

This time there was no voice.

Only a repeating set of coordinates.

They point toward open ocean.

According to every surviving map...

there should be nothing there.

The Ark has changed course.

As always, TeknoParrot is an emulator and does not provide copyrighted game data or ROMs.

The Ark sails on.
