🔥🥽 TEKNOPARROT DOES IT AGAIN! (This is a huge one)

MODEL 1, ATARI PHOENIX, NEWLY EMULATED CLASSICS AND OUR FIRST EVER VR RELEASE!

Today we are adding two newly emulated arcade systems, several major new games, restoring Sega NetMerc, and launching TeknoParrot's first ever VR release.

🕹 SEGA MODEL 1 ARRIVES
TeknoParrot now emulates Sega Model 1, one of Sega's most important early 3D arcade platforms.

The first release is:
🥋 Virtua Fighter
The original 1993 arcade game is now running through our new Model 1 implementation.
Virtua Fighter also joins our first stereoscopic VR lineup, rendering the original 3D scene separately for each eye while keeping the original arcade camera intact.

🥽 NETMERC RETURNS IN TRUE HEAD-TRACKED VR
Sega NetMerc is the exception to the rest of the VR lineup.
NetMerc was originally built as a VR experience, so our implementation includes:

👀 Real head-tracked camera movement
🔊 Restored sound
🎵 Restored music
Move your head and the in-game camera moves with you.
More than 30 years later, Sega's experimental VR title can finally be experienced again on modern hardware.

🏒 ATARI PHOENIX IS NOW EMULATED
TeknoParrot now also emulates Atari Phoenix.
Phoenix was an unusual 3D arcade platform using R4700 hardware and 3dfx graphics, with only one commercial game released for it:
🏒 Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey
That game is now newly emulated in TeknoParrot.
One title, one entire arcade platform brought into the project.

🏈 NFL BLITZ JOINS TEKNOPARROT
The original NFL Blitz arcade release is also now newly emulated through our Midway Seattle work.
Fast 7-on-7 football, brutal tackles and pure 1990s Midway chaos.

🕶 OUR FIRST STEREOSCOPIC VR RELEASE
For the first time, TeknoParrot can render selected arcade games in true stereoscopic 3D inside modern VR headsets.
These games keep their original arcade cameras.
There is no head tracking unless the original game supports it, like NetMerc.
Instead, the scene is rendered separately for each eye, giving the original polygonal graphics real depth.
