I hope whoever uses it uses it wisely. The best used case is for those who are out there advocating for the American we all value so that they can get further in the mission on what we all truly believe. If I had to use it for myself, it would be to get all the telemarketers and unwanted calls off my phone line. It is so annoying.

When people ask why I want the Glacier app, my answer is simple: I’ve spent my life protecting others, and now I want every advantage possible to make it home to my family. I’m a Marine combat veteran. My time in the military taught me that emergencies don’t announce themselves. They happen in seconds, and the decisions you make in those moments can determine whether you live or die. That mindset has never left me. Today, I work in the electric utility industry, restoring power and responding to emergencies. My job regularly takes me into unfamiliar neighborhoods, onto private property, and into situations where emotions can run high. When the lights are out, people are often frustrated, scared, or angry. Most customers are grateful, but all it takes is one unpredictable encounter for a routine service call to become dangerous. As a father, that reality hits differently than it once did. My little girl doesn’t care what I do for a living. She only knows that Dad leaves for work every morning and is supposed to come home. That’s a promise I want to keep every single day. The Glacier app isn’t just another safety tool to me. It’s another layer of protection for the moments no one plans for. If I’m ever injured, threatened, or unable to communicate, having technology designed to help me get assistance quickly could make all the difference. My military experience taught me that preparation saves lives. My career continues to reinforce that lesson every day. I wear the right protective equipment, follow safety procedures, and prepare for the hazards I can see. Glacier helps prepare me for the ones I can’t. I hope I never need to use it. But if the worst day of my life ever comes, I want every possible resource working in my favor so I can make it back to the people who need me most. For me, Glacier isn’t about convenience or curiosity. It’s about responsibility. It’s about doing everything I can to ensure that after every call, every emergency, and every long day in the field, I walk back through my front door to my family.

I'm currently holding some family photographs and heirloom items for an older couple that defaulted on their storage unit. I've previously been able to get items back to the original owners by making an anonymous post on craigslist and hoping for someone who knows them to contact me. With this last case though, I've also called their numbers (with mine set to private) that I find on whitepages, but have to leave messages asking them to contact me through my email mask to arrange pick-up. I'm guessing they think that sounds fishy. With Glacier, they can just return my call and I'll hopefully be able to give them their cool stuff back sooner.

I will say the same I don’t deserve it more than anybody else, but I plan on moving overseas to South America and think it would be good for my protection in order not to make myself a target as a US Army veteran. That is all thank you!

I’m a former 16 year Navy combat spouse. Spent 10 years in family court defending my parental rights to my ex husband and his new wife (who are in the process of divorce right now). I spent more than $100k in attorney fees, had my privacy invaded (as she was an attorney), had CPS called on me, had my subsequent abuser contacted to testify against me in court to lose my parental rights, I was hospitalized with COVID19 and was in a coma for nearly 6 weeks and when I woke up I learned there was yet another petition to remove my parental rights. My youngest son turns 18 in one year and I want to legally disappear from this man for the rest of my life. The abuse I endured while being married only got worse after I filed for divorce. I lost my way for a while but recently renewed my faith and re-engaged in the Catholic Church. God has provided and protected me over the years, but I want to start living and not just surviving and that means this man will have no way to contact me in the future. Ever. Again.

For me it’s simple we have lost privacy. Our personal information even in vehicles is wanted. I don’t do bad things. That’s not why I want it. Look if someone walked thru your front door didn’t knock then started to rummage thru your underware draw how would you feel? Now a days my grown kids say all the time but dad we are not doing anything wrong. That’s not the point. We have lost our liberty and no one cares. About privacy love ya

I communicate by texts, calls, and emails regularly with clients as an attorney in a downtown environment where I cannot guarantee privacy. The discussions range across all attorney-client issues. I also have to contact parties on the other side who are not represented by an attorney and who have violent attitudes to me at times or who just light up my phone. It's not always practical to use the office phone, especially when I work from home. When I use the hotspot, I'm in public areas and would like that extra peace-of-mind knowing my client data from my phone and/or laptop s not being scraped and sold across the web. Thank you for doing this!

As a U.S. Army veteran, law enforcement officer, and most importantly, a Catholic, I'm constantly thinking about preparedness...not just for myself, but for my family. I'm trying to build a YouTube channel focused on Catholic apologetics and gaming, so protecting my privacy has become increasingly important. Discussing faith online can draw unwanted attention, and I want to keep my personal information and family protected while sharing what I believe. Glacier would give me a secure way to safeguard important documents and sensitive information while helping me maintain control over my digital life instead of handing it over to companies that profit from my data. In my line of work...and as someone who wants to publicly defend the Christian faith...privacy and preparedness are necessities. Glacier would be an incredible tool to help me continue serving, creating, and speaking openly with greater peace of mind.

H

So I’ve made some mistakes in the digital realm with falling for scams via phone calls and different BS. It’s forced me to be more mindful and aware to the craziness out there. With that said I just want the peace of mind of not having to second guess everything and to feel like someone’s got my back and not just the big phone brands and their rubbish security claims.

As a nurse and a mother, I understand how important it is to respond quickly when someone’s safety is at risk. My daughter was assaulted when she was only six years old. Her perpetrator received a 45-year prison sentence, but members of his family have continued to stalk and intimidate our family. She is now 15 and remains especially vulnerable because of the trauma she endured. The Glacier app would provide an additional layer of protection, reassurance, and immediate access to help when I cannot physically be beside her. For our family, this would be far more than an app—it would give my daughter greater security, confidence, and independence while giving me peace of mind as her mother. We would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to benefit from this technology.

Someday there will come a time when my voice is gone, my parents' voices are gone, and the people who knew our stories firsthand are gone. What will remain are the photos, videos, letters, documents, and memories we chose to preserve. I would use Glacier to build a digital time capsule for my family—not for the next year or the next decade, but for the generations that come after us. A place where my future grandchildren could hear our voices, see our faces, read our stories, and understand where they came from. The reason I need Glacier is simple: memories become more valuable with time, not less. A lifetime subscription would help ensure that the people I love are never reduced to fading photographs in a box. Their stories would remain accessible, protected, and alive long after we're gone. To me, that's worth preserving.

I have bought the oldest (14) a necklace that tracks location and she can push the back to sign for help, but I'd really rather hide them online & in person if I could. They have phones & we have android. From what u said on you video yesterday this might just be what I've prayed for, cause if someone hurts any one of them I'd be in jail. Thank you for listening. I would like a lifetime Glacier subscription because my online activity is tracked more closely than a presidential election or government spending ;) Give me a burner number (not likely to use, but it could be helpful), a US VPN, and private searches so I can become the digital Bigfoot: everyone knows I’m out there, but nobody can find me. Every time I search for one random thing online, I spend the next month being haunted by ads. Search for recipes? Food everywhere. Search for clothes? Suddenly I’m a fashion model. Searching for scripture interpretation…nothing but I’m sure I am being profiled somewhere. A Glacier lifetime subscription would finally let me browse in peace and keep the algorithm guessing!

I'm a retired NYPD Detective of 25 1/2 years. In my years of law enforcement I did so many different jobs in so many different units. I started in the NYC Transit Police Dept from 1993 until 1997 when I rolled over to the NYPD. When I rolled over to the NYPD, I did patrol, SNEU, BS Gang Unit, Boro Crime, Firearms Instructor and finally the Intelligence Bureau. This is one of the main reasons why I would like to have the Glacier App. because I was involved in so many different aspects of law enforcement. Involving different types of criminals, gangs and Intelligence duties. My wife and I would definitely like to protect ourselves from the criminals or bad elements who would like to steal our personal information. It's sad to say nowadays we can't trust anyone because there are so many people out there with bad intentions. I'm a patreon member, my wife and I love your show and I hope you would consider me for the life Time Glacier app. Level subscription. Thank you so much for what you do!

I need it because privacy isn’t paranoia—it’s the modern equivalent of locking your doors at night. In a world where data breaches, targeted ads, and surveillance are the norm, Glacier is the simple, no-BS tool that will let me protect the people I love without needing a tech degree or a $10k hardened phone. Just open the app, flip the switch, and know I am covered. That’s why I need Glacier—and why every regular American family should have it.

Army veteran, and I build software that critical infrastructure teams depend on every day. In uniform I was taught to assume my communications were a target. Now I spend my career hardening other people’s systems, then go home and pick up the least protected thing I own, my personal phone. I run a side business, so my personal number sits on invoices, contracts, and outreach to people I have never met. Every new client is one more stranger with a direct line to the same phone my family calls. I am also on networks I do not control constantly. Airport terminals, public offices, relatives’ houses running whatever router the ISP handed them years ago. Glacier closes both: always-on VPN and DNS blocking so those networks stop mattering, and burner lines so business contacts never touch my personal number. I have spent my whole career locking down everyone else’s stuff. Glacier would let me finally do it for mine.

I own a small safety and security consulting and firearms and first aid training business. I can’t believe the spam calls I get on my phone and spam mail and ads I’ve had some spam contact me with some crazy stuff via text/email/voicemail Glacier filters for this would be a God send 3. Although I've since moved on from that line of work, I still place a high value on protecting my personal data and privacy. It wasn't until I started listening to your show that I learned many VPN providers are owned by foreign companies, which raised concerns for me about who may ultimately have access to user data. Because of my information being exposed in the OPM breach, I've long assumed that I'm likely on one or more watch lists and that my data continues to be collected in various ways.Your discussions have made me much more aware of the privacy risks that exist online and the importance of understanding who is handling our data.

Several years ago I was on a Royal Caribbean Cruise through the Baltic Sea. One of those stops was St Petersburg, Russia. When going through Immigration I was stopped and taken into a room and questioned. "You are military intelligence. We have evidence to prove you lied on your visa application which is a crime." When I filled out my visa form I confirmed I was in the US Navy. What I did not put was my occupation, which was indeed my occupation, from MANY years prior. There was only one way they would have known this...my data was part of the DoD data breach that had taken place years before my trip. My whole identity was theirs for the viewing. After about 45 minutes of questions I was let go, but in other travels I am hyper-aware that my information if everywhere. Having additional security would give me, and my family, a great deal more peace of mind.

I’d use the burner number for making purchases online, hand it over to anyone a number is required yet unrelated to business, or place it on any public profile. VPN and DNS I would use anytime on public or untrusted private networks to avoid a hacker from recognizing patterns of where I spend my time on each device at specific locations and what I’m working on on the web, to prevent them from planning and setting up a fake website identical to what I normally interact with on those networks that could ultimately compromise my devices and accounts by tricking me to enter my information on those fake websites

I live in the US while half my family lives in Australia. A few years ago, I was helping my sister to pay off some debt she had & somehow exposed her SS information to an identity thief without realizing it. About a year later, debt collectors found my mom’s address associated with my sister through an old bank account they shared while she was in school. Anyway long story short, I had to spend an egregious amount of time untangling her SS from being liable for over 80k in fraudulent debt. It wasn’t feasible for her to tackle the amount of calls necessary from an international number and I also felt responsible. Since then I have used credit agencies to watch both our SS but they sent me so much marketing junk that it seemed they were in on the game. So I mostly would use it to help my own data protection of course, but since I wouldn’t wish that fraud experience on anyone, I’d be more excited to show all my friends family & colleagues that there actually is a decent honest & reliable service that would actually protect their data instead of exploiting them. Thank you for reading & especially all you do to share your talents with your community of supporters.

Interesting! I wouldnt say I need it. But I look at everything and everyone as Tools. It depends how we are used and were neutral. A firearm or hammer, is it used for good or evil. I would treat it as such. Be interesting to push its capabilities as I used to gest products in the Outdoors & Shooting Sports industry. Then also im kinda techy at as well. Have a Flipper Zero. I enjoy it. Mainly for the NFC/RFID features. Also enjoy software. Have a Innovative Technologist named Mark Stross. He is a wizard! Created the jumbotron, 9/11 memorial in NYC and other amazing things. Hes working with a Team I'm attached to at an old blackwater facility south of San Antonio. They are working on tech to help end child exploitation & trafficking from a digital stance. I would let him look at it. He enjoys playing with things. 😆 🤣 Whoever wins, may you use if for good! Privacy means a lot to me. I travel for work pretty regular, sometimes alone sometimes with a team, and I always run prepaid SIMs when I’m out of country. I’d fire up Glacier to lock everything down, the American based VPN and secure DNS so my traffic stays private no matter where I am, the device protection alerts if something starts looking off on the phone, and burner numbers so I dont have to hand out my real number to local contacts, hotels or temp work partners. I’ve recently expermented with GrapheneOS and would love to see how Glacier runs on that once the Android version drops. Whether I’m solo or with the team I just want one simple tool that gives max privacy without making things complicated. Glacier looks like it was built for exactly that.

He poisoned my relationship with my supervisor to the point where they were psychologically abusing me and my coworkers. Railroaded out of an 11 year career, 2 months short of graduating with an accounting degree. Now I'm getting nightly traffic past my house in the middle of nowhere. I worry constantly that my phone is listening to me, collecting data on me and monitoring my every activity. It’s a constant concern I dread. I miss the time in life when life was much simpler. When pay phones existed. When you would get excited when you received a letter in the mail from someone. When you use to use a paper map for directions. Life seemed simpler even though you made more of an effort. Now it seems IMPOSSIBLE to live without a cellphone. It seems the World around us makes it Impossible. Everything including Health Care they ask for e-mail and phone number for texts and so on. I would be so GRATEFUL to feel SAFE again. Lately I’ve received so many Spam calls and spam texts too many to count. I block all that I can but it never stops. This opportunity to receive this Gift would be a Blessing I would be Eternally Grateful For 🙏

I spent a career in the Navy and then as a DOD civilian working to prevent China gaining an advantage against us. The last part of that career was working in cybersecurity to prevent Chinese footholds in our systems and infrastructure. The Chinese know me and have compromised my personal details repeatedly over may years (OPM hack in the mid 2010s being the most publicized). I'm also rightfully concerned about my communications being compromised by what I've seen while in government. Sean is right to be concerned as I've seen more of what he's concerned about over my career. Glacier looks like the most promising solution at a reasonable price point. This opinion is based on my work with the folks at Fr. Meade.

I'm someone who's constantly online — banking, shopping, signing up for random accounts — and I've gotten tired of realizing my number and data are floating around places I never meant them to be. Scam calls, phishing texts, sites tracking everything I click — it adds up fast, and it only takes one slip to regret it. Glacier feels like exactly what I need: burner numbers so I'm not handing out my real number to every app or stranger who asks, DNS/data blocking to cut off tracking and shady sites before they reach me, and a VPN so I'm not exposed on public wifi. On top of that, I work in a privacy-sensitive field, so protecting my data isn't optional — it's part of the job. I want something that just works in the background without a complicated setup.

D

Spent years in Air Trans (Port Dawg) where OPSEC wasn't a suggestion, it was the job. Now I'm a civilian getting robocalls about my 'truck's extended warranty' six times a day. I'd use Glacier to put burner numbers between me and every retailer, and get my privacy locked down like it's a pallet strapped for a airdrop.

I used to help design and build railguns for the Navy — David Taylor, Naval Surface Warfare Center. Then I have spent years inside Oak Ridge Nuclear Weapons Complex. Working in Operational Production Support knee-deep in stuff I still can't fully talk about. That work didn't stay at the plant gates. It came home with me. Several work-related health conditions. A pile of conditions stacked on top of each other, yet I'm blessed and still pushing through, continuing to work, helping the team secure global security. That fight never really ends. And somewhere along the way, I figured out — the threats don't stop when you clock out either. Your data, your identity, your medical records, your family. Someone's always collecting. Always watching for the gap. That's why Glacier hits different for me. This isn't an app to me. It's the same mindset I hear the OPSEC Team and the SPO force preach at work— control your signature, don't give the adversary anything for free, stay a step ahead. Lifetime access means I lock it down once and stop thinking about it, so I can put my energy where it actually matters — my wife, who is fighting cancer for the second time right now, my family, and this endless grind to get our family exposures off the radar. I'm not here for a freebie. I'm here because what you built with Vigilance Elite — no fluff, real skills, for people who actually need it — is the same thing I've been living for the past thirty-plus years in a different role. Pick me, Shawn. I'll actually use it. Quietly, seriously, for the long haul. God Bless your continued mission – don’t stop.

Everyone can benefit from using Glacier. It was designed by people who know the importance of data protection and the frequency of which our information is gathered and analyzed. it balances function and ease of use. I was using another VPN that trails to a foreign power who seems to specialize in weaponizing data. No more, Glacier in beta showed me how easy it can be to protect your data. I tried the burner number feature and enjoyed the anonymity it provides. Claim sovereignty of your data!

As a coach and nonprofit founder, communication is the center of everything I do; texting parents, coaches, checking in with athletes, navigating things far bigger than sports. Right now it all runs through one personal number with zero separation and zero protection. Glacier fills that gap. A dedicated line keeps my number private while I stay reachable. VPN/DNS protection matters since I'm often on shared wifi handling sensitive conversations about kids and families. Tracker/ad blocking keeps the research I do for my athletes from leaving a data trail that follows them too. I'm building an organization meant to develop the next generation of leaders and leadership means protecting the people who show up for that mission, not just chasing it. A lifetime subscription to Glacier wouldn't just be something I use. It'd be part of the foundation I'm building on.

I want Glacier because I believe privacy is becoming a luxury instead of a right. I study Scripture, theology, world events, psychology, and difficult topics that often require searching for questions out of context. I don’t want to wonder whether my searches are being profiled, misunderstood, or used to build a digital version of me that doesn’t reflect who I am. I want the freedom to be curious—to ask hard questions, research unpopular ideas, and learn without feeling like every search becomes part of a permanent profile. Privacy creates space for honest learning, critical thinking, and personal growth. For me, Glacier isn’t about hiding wrongdoing. It’s about protecting the freedom to seek truth without constantly looking over my shoulder.

I’m writing this from from one of the largest Muslim countries, where I have a meeting in three days with an asset that works bringing the good news to grand leaders cabinet members. I’m setting up a mtg related to a new “character based” curriculum for 4th graders, that will latently bring new “opportunities” that will change eternities. I’ve brought the message to country leaders in post Soviet Bulgaria, top officials in the largest Asian countries. I run a one-person Amazon agency, which means my phone has gradually become an advertising department, client hotline, research terminal, sourcing desk, and emergency command center. It holds client sales data, advertising budgets, supplier conversations, contract details, launch plans, and a strange number of late-night notes about cotton pillow protectors. The VPN side of Glacier is useful because client work does not always stay at my desk. I sometimes need to access accounts or review sensitive information while traveling, at a conference, or somewhere outside my normal setup. I would rather have one serious security tool protecting that connection than a pile of browser extensions and apps I have to remember to manage separately. The burner number may be even more useful for my work. I regularly contact suppliers to request quotes, compare pricing, discuss MOQs, ask about production capabilities, and work through contract terms. Some become long-term partners. Others send me six WhatsApp messages a day for the next three years because I once asked what 5,000 units would cost. A Glacier burner number would let me keep those early sourcing conversations separate from my personal phone number. I could reach out to unfamiliar suppliers, collect quotes, negotiate, and decide whether the relationship should continue before giving them permanent access to me. There is also something deeply funny about using technology built by former intelligence professionals to conduct highly sensitive negotiations over whether a factory can reduce the price of a zipper by eleven cents. Most of the products I work with are not glamorous, but the information behind them matters. Supplier pricing, contract terms, advertising performance, launch timing, and inventory decisions can determine whether a small brand grows or loses a lot of money. I have spent more than ten years helping brands make better decisions on Amazon. I would use Glacier to protect the conversations and information those decisions depend on, while also preventing a supplier I contacted once in 2026 from wishing me “Happy Monday, dear friend” every week for the rest of my natural life.

Burner number all day. My volunteer work gives me the opportunity to work with some people who truly need it. Some of them are also nuts and giving out my phone number makes me nervous. So I got a extra line and a extra phone out of pocket. This app basically just saved me some money and even with a separate phone number blocking them just results in people calling me from another line. Being able to have a burner number that I can delete is super helpful. It also helps that due to the limited time I have I only am helping a few people at a time so have a few burner numbers fixes everything. I'm testing it out with just one now but if it goes well I'll probably up it.

The Glacier app is a stroke of Genius and thank you Shawn for thinking of it and bringing it to creation! I would use the Glacier app for both personal and professional, and everything in between: On a personal level, when I do text on my IPhone, I might like to say some things that I do NOT EVER want to be seen or tracked or followed by an exterior person or organization that has pure evil in mind. I also cherish my privacy and I know that I have rights and that this app will absolutely protect my God given rights that we have in our Constitution. On the Professional side, for me I work in church ministry as well as for a military organization that would definitely need to be protected. I already know I am being “heard” and “followed” by the FBI given my church is in the public square fighting to abolish abortion. We have had the FBI contact us via phone asking questions about us being at the SCOTUS the day Roe v Wade was overturned. In addition, I will be flying to another country to help bring the Word of God into it and it is surrounded by not so friendly countries. My work takes me to so many public places that I need to protect all that I am entrusted with and for all our lives. Death threats have come many times. I would shout from the rooftops about this app and gladly profess the benefits of Glacier to any and everyone!!! Real-deal pedigree, not influencer vaporware — it’s built by a security company founded by former U.S. intelligence professionals who already built infrastructure for government agencies and Fortune 50s. Shawn Ryan partnered with them rather than slapping his name on a generic white-label VPN.

I would use it to escape the global state and become invisible all while building an off-grid secret bunker to disappear and live how I should then I would discard all my devices to never be found again...this is how my first novel would start. But in all seriousness to slowly slide into the darkness but still maintain connectivity without revealing where I have gone.

I would use Glacier for daily communications. After learning how it operates, I’d train my family and friends on it so we can all be protected.

Just an average American… what more of a reason do you need. Someone is always watching 👀

I would use Glacier for communication with my family if it were necessary! I enjoyed the beta test and believe it worked very well! I am very grateful to be apart of the beta testing and look forward to the future!

I would use glacier to keep those slimy corporations away from me and data!

I own a small business in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I am constantly inundated with sales calls, and it really really is bad and having a Glacier subscription would really help me out not having to deal with all of those spam calls and only people who I actually wanna reach me to have my actual phone number so that’s how I would use the Glacier app.

I want to feel and know that my communication is safe without being heard and hit with ads or big tech targeting me! I’m tired of being a piggy bank!!

I would use glacier to finally combine my devices for work and home. I'm a IT AppSec analyst and I've never felt comfortable combining my personal and work devices. It would be nice to one day have a phone I felt comfortable doing that with

I am just a regular guy but I would use the DNS to protect my personal data. There is nothing worse than feeling you can’t escape all of these greedy corporations trying to figure out your every move to position themselves to sell you and manipulate more and more. We all hate that every feeling you get after you discuss something and it pops up on your phone.

I am retired law enforcement and always worry about one of the “bad guys” finding my location. This app would help me stay a little more anonymous.
