FULL-RES ILLUSTRATION | Chapter Four

Chapter four features an illustration of Keia walking through a market! I had a lot of fun with this piece as it's been a long time since I properly sat down and did a full-scale illustration.

Designing Keia's disguised appearance for this chapter was an especially fun task as I wanted them to still look familiar without being too obviously themselves. I don't know about you, but one of the things that always makes me mad in media is when a character is supposed to be unrecognizable yet it's painfully obvious that they have hardly changed at all. (Cough cough... Clark Kent/Superman... even though it's meant to be that way... it still makes me mad lmao) Thinking through how Keia would disguise themselves when they have some pretty obvious features and limited access to materials was really fun! Plus, I got to revive long-haired Keia, which has always been something I want but can never have :') More on that soon!

There are definitely some things I would change now that I'm looking at this illustration as a finished piece, but after having been too busy to do most of my regular life things for the last two months, I'm just happy that I finished it :)

This artwork was completed in approximately 6 hours.
