Werewolf Form Fix
⚠️ Status: TESTED & COMPATIBLE with the September 22nd, 2026 Patch (PC/Mac: 1.128.90)
This bug is a doozy, and I can't quite believe this fix came together as quickly as it did, but I'm so excited about it that I'm posting it here before I go to bed. The CurseForge moderation queue can wait until morning!
What is it?
Werewolves the game generates in live mode have warped faces: twisted ears, misshapen muzzles, eyes bulging out in the wrong places. They also all come out the same muddy gray, despite the pack shipping well over 100 pelt presets that never get used unless YOU apply them in CAS. Werewolf Form Fix corrects both, so generated werewolves look the way they were always meant to.
This Is an EA Bug
The face deformation has been in the Werewolves pack since launch. The only known workaround has been to take each werewolf into CAS and remove and re-add the occult, one Sim at a time. This mod fixes it at the source so you never have to do that again.
What Was Wrong
When the game builds a werewolf form, it copies the Sim's human face structure data into the werewolf form fields instead of assigning a werewolf value. Human facial shapes then get applied to a werewolf skull, producing the deformation. This mod assigns a real werewolf face structure as the form is built, so the head comes out correct the first time.
The coat issue is separate: the game was generating all werewolves with the same grays rather than drawing from the pack's pelt preset library. Each generated wolf now gets one of the 176 preset coats, weighted toward natural browns and grays with less frequent vivid/whimsical ones.
Both fixes apply automatically going forward. Every werewolf the game generates from the moment you install this is correct when it is built. Broken werewolves already in your save can be repaired with one cheat command, described below. Premade werewolves are left exactly as EA made them. Any werewolf whose face is already correct is untouched. Children and non-werewolves (including animal species) are skipped entirely.
Fixing a Save Containing Broken Werewolves
Open the cheat console with Ctrl+Shift+C, enter testingcheats true, then use:
dsn_wff_fix_all (Lists every werewolf that would be repaired. Changes nothing.)
dsn_wff_fix_all True (Repairs them: faces and coats.)
dsn_wff_transform Anika (Transforms a werewolf by name so you can see the result.)
dsn_wff_transform Anika Toth (Accepts surnames when two or more werewolves share a first name.)
dsn_wff_transform Anika Toth True ( Turns them back to human.)
Run dsn_wff_fix_all (without True) first to see what it would do. A face is only rebuilt if it is actually wrong, so a werewolf who already looks right is left alone. Preset pelts are given to every generated wolf, because unlike a face a coat cannot be judged correct or incorrect on its own.
Premade werewolves, children, and animal species are never touched by this command. Repairs take effect immediately, even on a werewolf standing transformed in front of you. Both the head geometry and the pelt change on the spot.

sending every single blessing your area, i hope you have an amazing rest of your life, 10/10 no notes, ive been begging for this for years
Thank you, this problem frustrated me to the point of basically not using werewolves - especially cause it's bad enough for some unknown reason Greg and the others aren't out there biting anyone or the game making some random ones so there's more than like 6 of them, but then having to fix any that I have my werewolves turn and all just became tedious. How they don't address literal years of complaints about this is beyond me.
I took a glance at the bite tuning and it looks like autonomy is set to false on all of them. Unsure if a fix is as simple as flipping to true, but it's likely a good starting place...
Holy shit, this is actually fixed??? For real!!!! AWSOME!!!
Thank you! I appreciate you squashing bug that EA doesn't seem interested in fixing.
I posted my finding about the human parts data in the werewolf parts field on one of the bug theads for this on the EA forums, hopefully they'll be able to run with that and put out a proper patch for everyone.
Kudos to you for fixing this bug which EA seem incapable of doing.
lol, maybe they should just hire me 😎
I just have this problem yesterday when my dormant wolf sim transforms into a werewolf, and her werewolf form was a whack that I have to fix it in CAS. Thank you for this! I don't have to experience that anymore haha
I just set up a #mod-pics channel on my Discord, I would love to see what your fixed werewolves look like!
Wondering if you have a mod for the pet bath bug? It's such a pain!!
What exactly is that bug? I don't play with pets in my households so haven't run into it.
Kudos!
What a brilliant person! Thank you so much for your intellect and knowledge! And for simply being you!
☺️
Thanks for your share. It just occurred to me that the fairies in the game seem to have a similar issue: when they age up to teens, their fairy form lacks a head mesh. I wonder if this can be fixed using the same method.
Hmmm, sounds like another investigation is in order, just let me clear some more in dev work off my plate! ❤️
Oh this is brilliant.
