It's absolutely wild how the book describes Jimmy Donaldson. There is no attempt to reckon with the idea that Jimmy might just be a regular guy who is good at one thing (hijacking attention spans) and putting his fictionalized portrayal into a limited story role. Naw, the titular Beast has to be shown as impressing some army commando with his shark skills. Truly absurd nonsense.
