As someone who spends a lot of time criticizing various pop cultural and pop intellectual figures, what do think causes these kinds of people rise to prominence while much better, more qualified people languish in obscurity? Or are you a sort of poptimist about these things and see today's populist influencers as an improvement over older, more elitist kinds of public intellectual?

Would you ever want to make a video about the ‘comedy’ podcast scene as it is now, and its repercussions? IE: Joe Rogan platforming people like Elon Musk, the Nelk Boys ‘interviewing’ Benjamin Netanyahu, Theo Von and Andrew Schultz having Trump on during the 2024 election? Seems as though these podcast guys don’t ever seem to fully grasp the repercussions of normalizing these people, when they’re all categorically not normal.

One thing I admire about your work is your ability to find meaning and enjoyment in things that others might call objectively bad or ridiculous (The Room, Dcoms, etc). You’re willing to engage with media on its own terms, and take it seriously. Care to elaborate on this? (I’ll never forgive you for your Click take tho, that shit is peak).
