I hope you will find time to discuss legacy of post WW2 failure to designate clear territorial boundaries (I am thinking in particular of continuing flashpoint Daoyu/Senkaku islands) and whose interests this serves. I would also like to point out that KMT were regarded as imperialist invaders, much like the Japanese occupation of Taiwan, by many local Han Chinese of Fujian descent, who were discriminated against and prohibited in public school, etc. from speaking their native dialect.

Haven't started the first ep in this series but SUPER stoked to, and Carl Zha is always a great guest and the history of this is much harder to find than the US-Vietnam war for example.
