Interesting, NABU sounds so much like the Lokpal that was proposed by the anti-corruption campaign of 2011. Lokpal was initially proposed to be formed entirely by civil society folks and to have draconian police state powers over govt bureaucracy and politicians, but not against corporations.

It's not really ? I'm into this stuff and thats just currently not a good idea. You need alot of training as well as giving ai control of the trigger. Idk how willing the US government is about stuff like that let alone smaller countries but I'd hope that they'd at least want to maintain an illusion of control

I always find the word “Russiagate” annoying because, like… Just because the Muller investigation ended up being extraordinarily underwhelming does not mean that the Muller investigation uncovered nothing. Rather, what the Muller investigation uncovered ended up being so incredibly cringe that we as a society decided to pretend that actually it never happened.
And my attitude towards Bellingcat is that Bellingcat serves the purpose of airing the dirty laundry of Russia and its allies, just exactly like how WikiLeaks previously served the purpose of airing the dirty laundry of the US and its allies. In both cases, the dirty laundry is real, because every country has dirty laundry, and all it takes to dig it up is time, money, and persistence. Anyway Julian Assange probably shouldn’t have raped that Swedish CIA agent; say what you will about Eliot Higgins he at least apparently knows how to use a condom!
