Officially Crowdfunding
I started building up this Patreon earlier this month still hoping one of the other leads I was following would come through, but we're nearing the end of the month and still no job or funding. So, it's official, and I just posted a call for crowdfunding on YouTube to my million subscribers.
I've never been more nervous about anything ever and have no idea what to expect. I just hope it'll be enough to cover the bills after taxes, etc.
Thanks for being here!

I love how you've been so nervous and now you have over $5,600 per month thanks to Patreon! 😂
I may have no income right now, but I had to be the 25Tauth Tau patreon.
Looking forward to more videos about slugcats, hexaflexagons, math doodle dragons, turduckeneggs, microwave counting, or whatever else inspires you (which then inspires us). My now 12 yo daughter and I are looking forward to more videos with your unique style, that can make even the most obscure (to us) math concepts engaging.
We have enjoyed your work for years and are glad to be able to help fund your work. You're welcome in our home anytime.
I discovered you about 5 years ago. I hope your fundraising is successful and we can follow your journey.
Vi I get some much from your work that I would happy pay to watch you read the countdown clock on a microwave for 9 minutes, glad to be able to give something back, hope your crowdfunding campaign exceeds expectations!
That reminds me I'm well overdue for a microwave video... :D
Get ready for a flood of love and admiration. In a couple of months I predict you'll just be asking yourself why you did not do this sooner. Good luck, and thank you!
I'm already asking myself that. I guess I overestimated my ability to find institutional support. Thanks for being a true believer!
Vi i've been waiting for this change of hart! Jokes aside, your videos changed my view of maths during my degree in physics and I just wish I'd seen them earlier. I have been enjoying all your content for free for so many years, I'm happy to support you, no matter what you are going to make in the coming years. I found your work on VR/AR also inspiring, and reading the eleVR website I discovered Lakoff's work, which is also really important. Thank you and take care! You deserve it!
Yes Lakoff is amazing! Glad to hear I've spread the good word :D
Thank you for posting your Crowdfunding video on YouTube so I would know to come over and become a true believer. :)
YESSS JOIN US, TRUE BELIEVERS!
I want no perks and no rewards. Your work inspires and edifies. Be like Weather West (Daniel Swain): accept our support and continue creating at whatever speed is happy and healthy for you. It is worthwhile and very appreciated.
Thank you!
